..Why would the equivalent of old "H&N Match Kugeln" be H&N diabolo sport ? ... This was my fault - I tried to be too short. A large retailer here in Germany (Frankonia) did sell the "Match" quality in the 90s when I bought my supply under the name "Frankonia Sport&...

I remember having once seen the H&N boxes - at least some 10 years ago. You could have a look at the Website of H&N (an english version is available here: http://www.hn-sport.de/engl/index.htm ) They offer a distributor in the US as well, but I am not sure if this applies for their reloading...

Good morning Tim. I first had to read the wikipedia article on the SAT because in Germany admission to a university is generally handled in a different way. From what I concluded it would be a misuse to predict success in life by the SAT score. I have not advocated to use the described test to predi...

Good evening jackh,

exactly how you do what you do is not the issue of the described test (for this there is indeed exhaustive coverage), instead the point is:
..diagnostics regarding motivation in sports..
in other words: What mental constituents drive you to do what you do

best regards

Axel

Good evening Ed, firstly, the test is not desigend specifically for shooting, instead it seems to be applicable to a wide range of sport activities from chess to fishing, marathon and shooting (just going for some extreme examples). Secondly, the recent test experience biased me and I cannot swim th...

..any indicators that support developement of the characteristics through individual effort or were the characteristics permenantly part of the individuals character.. Hello Bill, I think the test alone cannot answer this. It reflects the ideas of the designers. As such, it scores the answers by th...

How to measure motivation

I have found an interesting diagnostics regarding motivation in sports. It was developed 2004 at the University of Stuttgart, Germany (Schuler et. al., department of cognitive psychology). The reliability coefficient (Cronach's alpha) is indicated as .96. Its called Achievement Motivation Inventory,...

Hi bryan, .. the references to the immovable mind, in the context of the artical that was out of place...the letters are very good, then probably the translation bit again, not making it easy to understand the concept. Very recently I switched from an elder FWB to Steyr LP10. Since my results are below 600, I thought it would be sensible to question all my (documented) habits. In pursuing this, one of my approaches is to stop overholding. I try to stick to a limit of max. 15 seconds per shot. Additionally, when my...

When you read about Zen, they talk about emptying your mind, etc. What they are talking about is what some psychologists refer to as 'up-time', i.e., a state where your conciousness is focused externally, on interacting with your environment, rather than internally, reflecting about interacting...

In Germany, energy below 7,5 Joule warrants an "F" for free of licence.
Otherwise you would need a permit to own, buy and use an air pistol or an airgun.

So at least for Germany, this is still a valid requirement.

kind regards

The allies prohibited at that time the productions of weapons in Germany with the exception of airgun...

There was indeed an old tv-ad from the bundesbahn (15+ years ago). It depicted a lonely guy alone in a conference room waiting for others to come - suggesting that with the railway you would always be on time - not like the ones relying on other means of transportation. Nobody would broadcast this o...
