As is the case with most things in life, the answer is not the same for all people because in reality the true question differs from person to person. When it comes to finding a gun to shoot the CF and .45 of a 2700 with there are a bunch of questions that aren't all that different from the one used...

Keeping the series 80 safeties functional was in fact the reason for the several hours of pain and suffering. The gun just started to fail to stike the primer on occasion. The series 80 bits were removed as a diagnostic only. With the parts in it was about 50/50 if it would fire. With them out it wa...

I have a friend who had a Series 80 that worked fine with the Series 80 bits removed and wouldn't work at all with the interlocks installed. After several hours and much pain and suffering we got it sorted out but it is a bunch of complication that provides no benefit in a target environment. I sugg...

Larry, I also use a 35M for NRA Bullseye. I am in the middle of my third case of CCI Standard Velocity (About 12,000 rounds) and I can count the number of failures I have had on two fingers. That's right two failures in about 12K rounds and both of those were due to dirty chambers so I take full res...

From what I have seen reported, IZH35Ms seem to come in two varieties. Unreliable cranky pieces of junk and indestructible tanks. If the gun is working well for you then you are probably with me in the second category. As far as cleaning, the only routine cleaning I have found necessary is to clean ...

Increasing Weight
I have a 52-1 that I shoot Bullseye with that dropped slightly below legal weight. After wasting a bunch time trying to find a new sear spring I fixed the problem by adding a little curve to the existing spring. It added enough to get me safely above the limit. Not sure if this would help for you or...

Slide Lock Fix
Not having a slide lock is another fixable problem. Check out this company.

If you don't want additional weight I think they now make an aluminum version as well.

If you want it to work.
Here in the US I use my IZHs for NRA Bullseye competitions. In my case it would be illegal for me to defeat a factory safety no matter how useless it is. Therefore I had to actually fix both of mine which were non-functional as built. (Both of them would allow the gun to fire even when the safety wa...
