I try to keep my focus on the front sight. I verify my focus by looking for a sharp edge on the top of the front sight. If the edge is fuzzy, then it is time to abort the shot. I wish I could give you more help, but I am also looking for answers in slow fire. I lose 2/3 or more of my points in slow....

I second the comments about cost and support. A few years ago I was spending a lot of time in Germany and found a good deal on an air pistol. Since then, the dollar has dropped which would have erased most of my savings. I had it sent here via parcel post (or their equivalent), instead of trying to ...

My Hill Pump (from Pilkington's) works well. The bleed instructions are easy to follow. They supposedly have some beads inside that traps the moisture, I don't know if they work or not. I won't know for 10 years if my cylinders get corroded or not. The cylinders will hold a charge for a long time. M...

I am also cross dominant. It is not a problem. You have several choices. You can put a blinder on your dominant eye and shoot with your strong hand and weak eye. This is what I currently do. You can shoot with your strong hand and strong eye. You will have to adjust your grip and stance. I used to s...

I use Varga glasses from Pilkington's. They were the cheapest good glasses I could find. They are not as adjustable as the top of the line, but they are very good. I am also cross dominant, but I shoot with my strong hand and weak eye. I used to shoot with my left eye, but switched about 2 years ago...

The LP10 is different. You have to push the pellet into the barrel. Some people, especially those with large fingers complain. When I first got my LP10, I did not like it, but am now used to it. I no longer even think about it. I think the LP2 does not have the barrel porting and recoil absorber. Th...

Dear Mr. Emmons Before this week I respected your shooting ability, but knew nothing of you personally. When I saw the piece on TV, my heart went out to you. Now, I respect you as a man. You have indeed lost with grace. I hope that if (when) I reach the highest levels of competition that I will show...

Hammerli
Most gun value guides (Blue Book of Gun Values etc.) list the years of production for each model and a very brief description of the changes from model to model. Go to your library or many Borders / Barnes have them. I know the Hammerli 101-106 pistols are listed in the Blue Book and in the other va...

Hand Pump vs. SCUBA
I have used a hand pump for about 3 years with no complaints. I only shoot pistol and rarely shoot more than once a week, so my useage is minimal. It takes about 50 strokes (3 minutes) to refill my pistol cylinder after a 70-100 shot session. It might be difficult to keep everything filled if I was ...

Opinions about Hammerli 106 FP and 207 SP
I have an opportunity to buy a Hammerli 106 and a Hammerli 207. I would like to know opinions, as I know very little about them. Before you recommend a TOZ FP, I know. However, this is available at a really good price, and quite frankly, I just want to give FP a try. If I was serious, I would get a ...

Add Air Pistol / Free Pistol and I will subscribe
I am very interested in such a mag, but I am more interested in pistol shooting. I would love to see it expanded to include pistol shooting (Air, Free, Standard, even NRA Bullseye).
I would definitely subscribe if it included pistol. I might subscribe if it is rifle only.

Marvel Conversions
I think the Marvel on a 1911 frame is an excellent choice for NRA Bullseye. It is perfectly acceptable for ISSF, but would not be my first choice. There are a few people who have had a myriad of problems and many people who have not had problems. I have a Marvel and plan to switch to it as my primar...

Those Greedy International Competition Gun Dealers
Fabian: If the situation had been the oposite one: the value of the Euro had risen against the Dollllar (I adden even another l here, Fabian), then the dealers would have readjusted their prices upward immediatelly. Even for guns in stock imported earlier at a lower price. The economical profit, Fa...

EU Lead Ban
I can't comment on the evidence presented, but this has been coming for several years (at least). It is not an attack on shooting sports. This is primarily aimed at electronic devices (as far as I can tell).

IZH35M Info
Contact DJ Precision if you need work on your IZH. http://user.mc.net/~drweber/.
I am not sure about HV ammo. Perhaps others can answer, or ask Don at DJ Precision. Aguilla Standard Velocity is cheap and soft. Not as cheap at WalMart bulk packs, but will probably shoot better.
