thanks for that information. Does anyone know of a maintenance guide for the TOZ 35? There isn't much information online, in english, concerning its upkeep. For instance, what types and grades of lubricant are recommended, where should they be applied, and how often? What's a light cleaning entail?

TOZ 35 Critical Spares?

I've purchased two of the TOZ 35s that were sold by CDNN recently. It's apparent that several other people on TT have bought them as well.

What spare parts should I have handy to maintain these pistols? - which spares did TOZ originally include with the pistol?

For those that ordered the $499 version with the case, did you get any spare parts (i.e. sights, springs, etc...?) Just curious. No - three brushes, a plastic bottle and a photocopied english manual. I'd purchased two: a 'very good' $499 w/ case, and 'good' $399. The VG pistol has a nice unmodified...

I'd spoken to one of their salesmen today. They've apparently sold almost all of them already. He'd estimated that they had two or three left. From what I'd gathered, they'd belonged to a team or club. He wasn't sure, and didn't know much about free pistols, but did mention that they were very surpr...

If you don't have your heart set on a new pistol, you can find some great deals on used BE wad and hardball guns. These are often listed on Bullseye-L.

I'm having Marschal's make me a LH grip - http://www.marschalgrips.com/?content=M ... re=toz35-0

Many of the other grip makers support the TOZ 35 as well - e.g. Morini and Rink

These are the pistols that CDNN is selling?

That being said, it's been reported on the Smith & Wesson forum that S&W is open to the idea of a K-32 run IF a distributor would take 500 of them. Makes you wonder if we could get them pre-sold.... I'd bet that you could pre-sell these - even if they were intended as replicas. If they were...

Don't worry about removing the barrel, see Fred's advice. The Funny thing about mine is that it feeds certain ammo better when I allow a 'grime ramp' to build-up at the transition to the breech. When I'd first gotten it I was shooting Wolf's target ammo. This would occasionally mis-feed - the bullet...

From what I have seen reported, IZH35Ms seem to come in two varieties. Unreliable cranky pieces of junk and indestructible tanks. That seems to be the case. But I also suspect that this phenomena had been exacerbated by incompetent gunsmithing. That is, you have some 35s with substandard metallurgy...

I have a PDF of the manual if you'd like a copy ( PM me ). This describes field stripping and includes pictures of the process - it's very simple. You'll want to know how to do this eventually in any case. It's the only way to give the pistol a thorough cleaning. Hopefully I will get over this avers...

A word of caution:Randall Fung's grips for NRA BE (Conventional Pistol) might be too large to fit in the ISSF size-control box. Randall offers an ISSF option for his grips (sized to fit in the "box"). I expect he could provide either over-hung or cut-away grips in ISSF size. I've just got...

rule check: partial grip overhang for centerfire pistols

I've been considering the Fung K-Frame grips for my Model 14 - http://funggrip.jnb.com/revolver.html One nice feature of these is that they offer a cut-away to the grip overhang which enables one-handed cocking in SA. I'd like to use the same grips for both BE and ISSF centerfire competition. But Fu...

building vision stamina

Are there any known techniques for improving the stamina of the faculties of vision relevant to shooting? - e.g. focus duration and acuity, suppression of the non-dominant eye etc.. I'm familiar w/ a few techniques that are useful to restore these during a shooting session, but don't know of any way...

It's apparent that Mr. Brunelli continues to maintain the site, but he no longer updates it. The last entries appear to be from 2002. Perhaps this information could be adapted to a wiki so as facilitate revisions and new submissions. If it were simply a matter of hosting these resources, then my com...

I'll second the importance of good ventilation and lighting for indoor ranges. This is something that I look for, and I've joined clubs specifically for the fact that they provide good indoor facilities.

K38 for centerfire

The S&W K38 Model 14 had come up in the .32 Ruger SA for international centerfire?! thread. Rather than distract that discussion, I'm starting a new thread.

So what modifications to the model 14 are desirable? - and is the SA version truly SA only, does the hammer not have a DA sear?

Shows you what I know :P These are a little before my time. I have a K22 Masterpiece which functions in DA - didn't realize that the Masterpiece designation differed for the K38 and K32. Not to hijack this thread, could you convert an existing K38 to this SA type? - is there such a significant advan...
