I had the idea something tríed to happen at the 160 bar fill, it was different than with the 120 bar fill, but it emptied anyway.. Maybe my meter is a tad off, dunno how accurate those filling gauges are.. Might've been a real 155 for all I know.. still shouldn't free flow... your pressures have to...

Rob ... the problem comes about here in the US because our TSA currently forbids flight on an commercial aircraft with a non-empty cylinder. Shooters must appear at the airport w/ empty cylinders. We've had an instance back in Dec where the TSA in Colorado Springs would not let any cylinder fly ......

the guys finger touches the trigger guard. its not a big deal. you dont know that any more than anyone else does, including the shooter. all he can see is a drop in average, and something he feels is possibly pertinent. he's saying it feels it could be a problem area, unless the US coaching ideolog...

i'd be apprehensive of firing it to empty... 2 things will happen... 1 at some point the valve won't be able to hold back the air, either in the reg or the cylinder and once both go, it will purge through the gun... not that it will really harm it, but if you don't have to send the whole system belo...

the only things that constrain a position are safety, the rules and your ability.

if you build a new one with the core principles in mind, and it gives you actual results, then why not work with it... everyone is different... looking down the line in the olympic final will show you that ;)

you should be able to place it in the same place every time anyway without having to use the guard as a reference... if not, it's something to practice, with an observer with a camera phone it could be something you could do quite often. Or you could set up a mirror or a video camera.

Irrespective of the spine work you have had done, for anyone i'd advise they speak to a qualified expert about warming up exercises (and especially you)... it's all very well looking things up on the net, but if you prang something it will set you back, or worse, especially if you are working in the...

odd. the only time i've had this happen is because the cylinder has got to a very low pressure, (ie when i've purged it for air travel) and it's around then that it can seem to stick, especially if cold. however, owning several LG300 dominators and an XT, using the all three sizes and 200 and 300 ba...

it's just glued on.

tell the coach not to hold the barrel when a cylinder is screwed in... not unless your shooters like to rezero.

hmm... albeit they're domed, i'm using .5g pellets at well over 10m velocities without any drop in accuracy... they're flying well at 805 fps, and groups at 50m have been in single mm figures ctc. and anyway, a lighter or heavier pellet might fly the same speed as another of different weight... and ...

has no impact really. The pellet may fly faster with a heavier weight, but that's it, and really you're just looking for the best consistent group. If they're not going through the same hole, change pellet and see if it improves.

if you're experiencing pain, stop. Nothing in shooting should be painful. if the problem persists, get the hand looked at, but if it's fine off the gun, if it were me, i'd just be thinking about a different hand position. where does it hurt on the hand? does it hurt on the contact points, ie the knu...

I'm wondering if that's why the butt has been rotated, to bring the sights over to the shooter and t...

3.6mm for 10m air rifle would seem very tight to me... it might (if it's easy) be worth experimenting with a larger foresight, say 4.0, if you have a set, see what happens to the groups as you change them... you don't need to zero, just see if shooting becomes easier or harder and if they're is any ...
