The case arrived today, and on first inspection is excellent. The cut outs are perfect for both pistols and there are plenty of extra storage cut outs for spare cylinders and tools etc, I'm really pleased.

I've just handed over a chunk of cash for a Morini CM84E "longarm" (UK Version). I was (more than) a bit disppointed to find that it didn't come with a case or a bag (despite what the instructions say!). I am therefore assuming that this is a common problem for all Morini Longarm shooters ...

I'm no expert but it looks like paint to me, and that would certainly be consistant with FWB manufacturing process, as per previous products.
I have noticed no deterioration of the silver finish on the cylinders as yet.

Those "scratches" also appear on my P44. Whilst the long term durability of the pistol has yet to be proven, I can't say I'm overly concerned.

I'm about to buy a Morini CM84E, any comments on which is the "best" ammunition to use ? i.e. does it "like" (generally speaking) one brand or another ?
Also, does everyone use the same ammunition in training as in matches ?

Have you tried LPM 1 instead of LMP 1 ?. LPM is correct.
It's a great gun, as long as it's been looked after.

Replacement grips should bolt straight on, and will completely change the feel of the gun. With a proper grip the hold will feel more secure and comfortable, and this can have a real effect on your shooting.

Michael, I used to own a FWB 100, and I loved it, great pistol and should give your years of good service as long as you look after it. I agree with you Rob, I use them to account for differences in range and lighting, typically firing 10-15. If I'm "happy" after 4-5 then it's straight on into the match.

I'm trying to decide if I should even bother filling in the FAC forms, or spend the money on a backup air pistol.

I suppose not bothering would be a victory for the sensationalists, but I don't have enough spare cash to but a pistol just to find I have to surrender it later.

The LP10 and the P44 are both good guns, I have just gone from an LP10 to a P44 and loving it so far. It's all about the feel and the trigger.
