Re: How do I know my grip fits me?
Early on, it's more a matter of if it feels right. You don't really have to worry about customizing until you're consistently shooting good scores already.

Re: Monthly AP League March 2025
I stank to high hell at Camp Perry yesterday so I shot a practice match at home today to remind myself that I don't suck. Had a bit of trouble finding the 10 ring in the middle but finished strong.

.or for mental discipline - endure THE CHIPMUNKS on CRACK for an hour and 15 minutes & you're ready to invade Russia in the Winter. You say that as a joke but one of my training drills involves replacing my target lamp with a digital projector, projecting Cocomelon onto a blank target, and turn...

I wear indoor soccer shoes because they have a very thin sole with almost no cushioning. And they're cheap and easy to find.

Re: Olympic 10m which pistols?
What a brand new pistol bought this summer and u already had to send it twice to morini? That's not good at all. This is why I'm reluctant to electric triggers but also i have help pretty close by. Yeah, the irony is that back in the Spring I was saying that I was reluctant to get an electronic tri...

Re: Olympic 10m which pistols?
Nice which one did u end up getting? I've heard tjst the grip is a bit wierd. I'm leaning to pick up another grip for it anyways if I choose a morini. I got the 200. The grip actually fits me pretty well out of the box, but I'm going to Germany this Summer to get a custom grip. I did have some issu...

Re: Olympic 10m which pistols?
Just be careful to not buy the grip. I always get the twitches when someone buys a gun because "it fit like a glove". Grips are meant to be adjusted and molded to you which can be done with any brand. Buying a gun off the grip is like trying a couple of peoples glasses and then buying the...

Re: New Top Tier Air Pistol Recommendations
That said, I've seen a couple posts go by from relatively new Morini owners who apparently got lemons, and have had trouble getting them fixed. I was one such. I finally got my Morini back about three weeks ago. It hadn't been working since October. I had to send it to Switzerland twice. Fortunatel...

Re: Do you use a mantra to help relax?
Between shots I count my breaths. During my shot process, I have a few single-word reminders. Before my shot, I'll think "balance" to get my center of gravity in the right spot, then say "grip" to make sure that I have the right amount of pressure on the grip, then say "trig...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
They are actually priced the same here in sweden 😀 Which would u choose and why. Well, hard to say. The Morini has an electronic trigger, which is smoother than a mechanical trigger but also adds a point of possible failure. The Pardini is also a lot heavier, by more than 100 grams. This can be eit...

Re: Amazing Exhibition Shots and gun accuracy
For some reason this reminds me of when I posted on a shooters' subreddit a picture of a 10m air pistol target on which the 50-shot group, with the exception of one shot, was well inside the 9 ring. One guy decided to respond saying that he could make a group the same size from 50 yards. When I post...

Re: Looking for my first Olympic airpistol
Pardini K12 and Morini 162 are also excellent pistols used often in international competitions. The Pardini is probably going to be cheaper, too.

Didn't see anyone start this one yet, so here goes.
If it hadn't been for two terrible targets out of twelve, I would have had a great match. Ah well.

There was a crowd of us that formed behind her on her last target. She got an enthusiastic round of applause after the last shot.

Re: Hearing Protection and Recommendations for 10M
I just use foam ear plugs. You don't need a lot of protection because it's not very loud, although the echos if you're shooting an a basement like I am can amplify the noise. However, some protection is a good idea if you practice a lot because over time it can cause damage. Ear buds are basically u...
