Re: MONTHLY AP LEAGUE FEB. 2022
Took a hiatus, but I'm back with a new personal best. (previous was 498-6X) For February: 527-5X (91-2, 85, 86-2, 87-1, 88, 90) Pardini K12 H&N FML 10m ISSF rules, Orion 004C targets Sub 6, HT M 65 USA Targets here: http://www.jimpoulette.com/Target_Talk_February_2022.pdf Still had a couple of f...

Re: Pistol shooting shoes...do they work?
Very happy with the Corami shoes so far. After several months they are starting to break in and feel much better than now. A lot is personal preference, but my only advice is to use foot tracings for size - not generic "size charts". Info here: https://buinger.com/Corami-shooting-boots-for...

Re: New Option For Beginners & Juniors: Diana Airbug
I just bought one to evaluate as a pistol for junior programs on a limited budget. It's nicely made, far better quality than the Crossman 2300T "Target" pistols my Club bought a number of years ago. The Crossman's are total junk, and do more harm than good. The triggers are awful, and tha...

Re: Pardini K58 Trigger
The K12 comes in at about 300g "new out of the box". I felt the same thing. The recommendation from Pardini USA was: "Optimally, I would set the first stage to around 400 grams and the second stage to 140" . I used a Lyman 7832248 pull gauge, but at the end of the day - it suppor...

Getting back into it can be tough. I think most runners will agree that working through "re-entry" knee pain is possible if you take it easy and don't overdo it. Good luck!

Re: How are you filling your cylinders?
I picked up one of these. It will fill a K12 cylinder to 200 bar in about 60 seconds. Have used it regularly for several months. Loud as a freight train - but works great. So far so good. It does go through output filters like mad (and only comes with six), so make sure you have extras. I also lube ...

Re: Corami V Sauer
The Hoka One Bondi SR Mens arrived a day after I ordered them. They feel amazing ! My wife and I use to run marathons every year and switched from Brooks to Hoka as soon as they were available in the US. Probably 10 years now I suspect. I even wear the Bondi-L (black leather) to work. The Bondi 7 w...

Re: MONTHLY AP LEAGUE JAN 2022
Still WAY out of my league with this group - BUT, the progress remains on a moderately upward glide path. New 6X10 high for me. For January 2022: 489-6X (80-1, 81, 79, 84, 81, 84) Pardini K12 H&N FML 10m ISSF rules, Orion 004C targets Sub 6, HT M 65 USA Targets here: http://www.jimpoulette.com/T...

Re: Corami V Sauer
They sound WAY too squishy to be good for pistol shooting. You may need to try a pair. Until you get use to them, they border on being flat-out (excuse the pun) uncomfortable until you get use to them. Frankly, you simply have to re-learn how to walk in them. Weird, until you wear them a dozen time...

Re: Trigger Pull gauge
I can identify with the "fussy" guys, but for most here, the two tins of pellets taped to a bent coat hangar will do the job. There are much more important things to work on. Here's my "work of art"........ I was going to put a piece of shrink tube on the hook - but hey, who go ...

Probably at the very top of my list.charliemow13 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:07 am .......2. Be more disciplined and put the pistol down when the shot isn't developing well instead of persisting and letting off a less than ideal shot.
Second would be taking focus off the front sight and rushing to see where the shot landed. Very bad.

Re: Trigger Pull gauge
As long as I know the measurement tolerance, I can compensate for that. Repeatability is something you can average with multiple trials. I'm very satisfied with the Lyman # 7832248. It's tolerance is 0 - 2.2kg: ± 2g. It works well with my DIY 525 g weight. https://www.lymanproducts.com/electronic-di...

Re: 2021 Accomplishments
Well, for 2021 I finally got serious and swung for a K12 and compressor, started a regular 10m shooting regiment, got my first "all in the black" target, and after 5 months I'm inching toward 500. Personal best is 486-4x. I'll be in the Net Competitor LOC "Rookie Division" (the g...

Re: It really is the little things......
Competing? What is that ? LOL ! All points taken. Frankly, I do this for fun - and that's how most of our local "pellet group" members think about it too. No doubt the lighting could probably be improved if you're shooting 10+s for a living. I leave a few light banks off just to save the c...

It really is the little things......
......Like a quiet empty indoor range, a few decent targets, or a full tank of heating oil (it was 15F here in Cow Hampshire this morning).

I call that "simplicity-adverse" at its finest.
But on the other hand, if you want <1mm CTC at 10m - you'll pay for it.

Re: New to 10m (and AP in general)
If You see something obvious with my shooting feel free to comment - I am here to learn! I'm in week 11 with 10mAP - your targets look familiar and mine were very similar. Lots of decent information here so keep you eyes and ears open. I also set up a small range at home, but I'm also told it's imp...
