Re: Newbie shooting question
I struggle with exactly “where” my hold is as you describe. Generally it feels right to have an equal amount of “white” to the left and right if my front blade as above the flat and the black but its a harder distance to quantify with the bull blurry. My mind “wants” me to pull towards the black whe...

Quick tip: Spotting scope home range
Hey, I think lots of us shoot in our basement and i've seen some people saying they go check their target every X shots or that they set up a spotting scope. I wanted to pass along a little tip I am using: Old baby monitor. If you have an old baby monitor, just set it up a foot or two away pointed a...

Re: MatchGuns MGH1-Mech Detailed Pictures
That's different. The 70 grams is for the 2nd stage, so the total would be 520 grams. Basically you can set it for a relatively light second stage. I emailed them late last night and had a response by morning! They confirmed its combined and the minimum it can be set is 520g divided between stages ...

Re: MatchGuns MGH1-Mech Detailed Pictures
I got it at https://www.newenglandairgun.com/matchgun.html I got mine at their walk-in location. They have all the different grip sizes, front sight widths and such as far as I could tell. They became a dealer recently after trying for a while from what they said. Thanks for the link. It's a beauti...

MatchGuns MGH1-Mech Detailed Pictures
Hello, Someone mentioned they wanted to see some pictures of my MatchGuns MGH1-Mechanical. I picked the gun up recently as my first foray into more formal 10m air pistol shooting after decades of bullseye and 3-pos smallbore. I am located in an area almost no one shoots 10m air pistol so my ability ...

Re: Porting barrel - by hand ( gunsmith )
This is a 100% “if you have to ask...” question. Unless you’re a machinist/gunsmith the chances of ruining your gun are exponentially higher than the remote chance you’ll improve it. Leave it be or take it to someone who ports barrels the right way but be prepared to pay for their time.

Re: Recommendation $1500 budget intro to PCP (MatchGuns MGH1, AP20Pro, Air Arms Alfa?)
"I ended up purchasing an MGH-1 mechanical from them, along with a small tank/hookup that will last me a long time with my shooting habits." You claim to be shooting a tin of pellets (500?) every two days, that air will last no time at all. I hope you have a nearby dive shop. That sounds ...

Re: Recommendation $1500 budget intro to PCP (MatchGuns MGH1, AP20Pro, Air Arms Alfa?)
Hi, After reading lots and realizing how little I "know" I really decided to get a new pistol. Additionally, i had the total ability of ZERO to try pistols from anyone as there are no active clubs shooting as a group near me. Since there was a MatchGuns US dealer about 35 minutes from my h...

I looked at that targetscan but i am surprised its 20$ with an $8 add-on for full functionality. That being said, most seem to use it if they use one

Re: Recommendation $1500 budget intro to PCP (MatchGuns MGH1, AP20Pro, Air Arms Alfa?)
Just be sure if you support your local shop, that they can support your investment. Owning a gun with service support, or better yet, easy self service is a big plus to me. I once bought a Hammerli 480, spent a fair amount of money on repairs, and sold it for 1/3 of what I paid for it not many year...

Recommendation $1500 budget intro to PCP (MatchGuns MGH1, AP20Pro, Air Arms Alfa?)
Hello, I've been shooting for decades and just started getting into 10M air pistol as i have a basement about that size. I purchased a Venturi V10. While I enjoy the trigger and it seems accurate, I completely underestimated how process-distracting and tiring it would be shooting it at length, pumpi...
