If you want to keep the cost down and don't need all the adjustments try the Backtec, I just picked up a used one for $1,800, once I have sold the bits I don't need it will be about $1,500. A 'proper' buttplate will certainly help, it is actually fairly adjustable, it's just a PITA to do it

Yes, I've been teaching myself to shoot via YouTube and these two resources greatly helped me. I was a type one trigger puller but since changing to type 2, there has been a marked improvement in my performance, (page 28 in the first link). https://www.issf-sports.org/getfile.aspx?mod=docf&pane=...
