Re: Walther KK500 Torque Values

Golfshot, Forgive me for not disassembling my stock, but I did buy an extra set of hardware. It's just basically four aluminum spacers ,(aluminumspacers.com....11/64 id, 5/16 od). You have to rebore the four holes in the stock. (Don't do this if you don't have access to a mill), cut the spacers clo...

Re: Walther KK500 Torque Values

I actually made four tiny aluminum pillars for the four small bolts; and used a drop of blue Loctite on all five bolts. I'm at about a case and a half, and my torque driver still clicks at 3.5 Nm. I imagine the bolts would loosen a little bit directly through the wood with no Loctite. 3.5 is what W...

Re: Cheating at ISSF Olympic Qualification Championship 2024

In this case we can look at the Whoop as being a one way communicator, the stream of actual information is from the device to another remote device held in a bag or by the coach. As far as I'm aware there will be return data sent but only in the form of data received acknowledgements and data check...

Re: Cheating at ISSF Olympic Qualification Championship 2024

whoop is just a heart rate monitor, communicates suggests two way. This device just sends out your heart race to your phone. Its not a smart watch, has no screen etc. Looks like alot more than just heart rate according to there own website, https://www.whoop.com/au/en/the-data/ Bluetooth is two way...

Re: Cheating at ISSF Olympic Qualification Championship 2024

I thought I remembered someone posting about "cheating" a few years ago and it was you in 2021,about cheating in Tokyo and in New Delhi. Do you have a hard on for the rules or something? You one of those people that goes to the rules as soon as to complain when anyone beats you and it hap...

Re: Cheating at ISSF Olympic Qualification Championship 2024

Cheating, to me at least,is a very loaded word, and implies intent. Do you have any proof that Chiara Leone actually communicated with her coach, or even intended to do so, rather than just not removing her her watch? Practically would she be able to communicate with it while shooting? If you can't...

Seems to me it is explicitly prohibiting communication devices. If the wrist worn device is not capable of communications its ok to wear. IMO.
Whoop communicates via Blutooth.

Cheating at ISSF Olympic Qualification Championship 2024

Was recently watching the ISSF Olympic Qualification Championship 2024 (Rio De Janeiro) and noticed these two blantant examples of cheating. Aleski Leppa has an oversized kurt thune sweater which is bunching up at the wrist to aid in the standing position. It also appears that the reinforcement on h...

Re: Walther KK500 rod guide

Yeah, I researched on line to see if anyone else was using o-rings on the outside of the body, and saw those. Believe it or not, I didn't see that before I made my first one about 2 years ago. I only own three rifles and have made guides for them all. The KK500 was the simplest. I test every guide ...

analretentive wrote: Tue Jul 11, 2023 4:25 pm Yes, my guides are aluminum. I bought a couple of guides from Mr. Madison in 2018. I called to order a KK 500 guide in 2020 and he had retired. That' s when I made my first guide.

My guide will make you smile when you insert it in the action.

Re: Walther KK500 rod guide

Very interested. also, how does the OEM rod guide cause, 'aluminum oxide dragging on the inside of your receiver' I think Jerry was referring to his rod guide. Jeff Madison's rod guides are aluminium, so I'd infer that Jerry's is also. I've not noticed any wear on the receiver in more than ten year...

Just a heads up its non-compliant as per ISSF rules. So unfortunately if you are entering competitions you will need to stick to glasses / monocle.

IOC will kill off all smallbore shooting much sooner than most think, and that will leave Air and ( ugh ) laser.
