Hi,

Does anybody have a wind flag chart that they could share with me. There are plenty online but I cant find one suitable for ISSF Flags.

Thanks

In short - an advanced lens system stigmatism and head tilt correction/touch up for the best sight picture

How does it achieve this? Is it literally just a lens holder with the ability to rotate it? If so, how is it any different to MEC glas Monocle Revolve?

Does anybody have any experience with this.

I have seen this product for sale on numerous online stores but still cant figure out what exactly it does.

If anybody could share some light on this product that would be fantastic.

Re: Rear sight recommendation

I haven't thought about making a video, but possibly could in the future.. I find that that videos are great for concepts and general walk throughs, but that for step by step procedures, the play/pause/lack of checklist slows me down.. Anyway, I will keep it in mind. Glad that the PDF is able to he...

Re: Rear sight recommendation

I put this together last year, but never shared it ... Sorry for the file size, but if you are looking to crack open a Spy, it is well worth it. http://www.biggerhammer.net/centra_spy/CentraSpy_Service.pdf Thanks a-lot for this detailed instruction, I really appreciate it. Have you considered makin...

Re: Rear sight recommendation

Take the turret out, and get the dirt and crud out of the base (which is most exposed in my opinion)... Re-oil/grease them with very fine instrument/watch oil or moly, and re-assemble. There is a gib adjustment on the back, that basically pushes a plate against the turret - make sure the doesn't ha...

Re: Rear sight recommendation

I would go would with Centra Spy (compact both in usage and transport, as well as being a little more economical if you are buying one for each position), or the Anschutz 7020 (with a little modification can be turned upside down). One thing folks forget with any of these is to clean and maintain t...

Would that make the two above in the photo also in violation as their visor has branding on it?

Re: Shooting Glasses Help

Tim is correct. +0.25 is the part of your prescription that you increase by +0.5 to pull your focus back towards the front sight. Your astigmatism (Cyl) is -2.50, at an angle of 176 degrees. Normally this doesn't change for a shooting lens. Normally PD is the distance between your pupils, looks lik...

Shooting Glasses Help

I have just visited my local optometrist and received my prescription. However im unsure what to to ask to have the extra .5 diopter applied to as .5 seems to be the common consensus on this forum. Im going to be using an monocle on my rear sight if that makes any difference. Also does anybody have ...

Re: Sight Raiser Help

Thank you for all your responses, I really appreciate it.

Turns out it was user error all along.

What I forgot to mention in my original post was that im using an Centra Duplex Vario and it turns out that has been causing my issues. Looks like an Centra Collimator Spy will fix my issue.

Re: Sight Raiser Help

Golfshot, Yes, a long extension tube can change the relative height of the foresight to rhe rearsight. In addition the diameter if the tube and any foresight mount may be greater/lesser than that of the muzzle. Remember the rearsight MUST always be higher than the foresight so the sightline interse...

Sight Raiser Help

I currently have an KK500 with an Starik Carbon tube (32cm long). When I have my foresight at the very end (my personal preference) of the Starik Carbon Tube the foresight always ends up being located at the very top of my sight image. My current setup is the following, Rear Walther Factory Action R...

Re: Anschutz vs KK500

Walther dosen't do a very good job of selecting the right hardware in my opinion. All of the action screws are far too small making them very easy to overtorque and strip, or even break. There are 5 to distribute the load but still. I've drilled out a few in other peoples guns before. Just be caref...

Re: Anschutz vs KK500

Love my KK500, I have personally seen 3 KK500 firing pins break (mine twice). Never broken one in an Anschutz. Its worth it in my opinion though, I just carry a spare with me. The electronic trigger kk's are much better than the mechanical trigger kk's. And be careful with the action screws. Why do...

Re: Rifle rest for offhand stand

About 20 years ago I introduced my wife to 3p small bore. She refused to place her rifle on the ground. I looked everywhere for a rifle rest the I could attach to her stand. I found nothing so we created our own. I made about 30 of them. All the shooters at the club used then. A couple on college t...
