Rapid fire air pistol
Hi, I used the Drulov DU-10 Condor for about 6 months, before deciding that I wanted to get more serious about rapid fire air. It's a nice, cost effective entry into serious air pistol... but it does not compete against the Steyr LP5 and the FWB P55. It leaks CO2, it is ammo finicky (and will fire d...

Re: Nill-Griffe US distributor?
I recently ordered and received two grips from Nill.. and they are very well made.. I did order from them directly, and had no major problems.. (ordering from Canada). They were very accommodating, and sent me pictures of the actual grips that were available.. so I could select the finish and grain ...

The MG2 is the *BEST* standard pistol I have ever owned!!!
So.. it looks like the waters are a little safer to wade into now.. most of the vitriol has already been spewed.. I just wanted to add that my MG-2 is great! It did have to have service straight away (new barrel/extractor and slide, my serial in the 15xx range) but that was handled quickly and profe...

Monthly MG-2 check-in...
Hi... Just thought I would contribute my monthly check-in.. I shot another 500 rounds between practise on Wednesday, and a competition in Aurora (outside of Toronto) last weekend.. No misfires, no ejection jams .. nothing. My MG-2 just works! That would be about 3,000 rounds without a failure since ...

MG2 Guest..
Guest (???) wrote: "Oh, another thing. You have to be some sort of higher being engineer to be able to fully qualify for operating the MG2! Lesser humans - do not bother. Must be something really special this MG2... LOL" David (higher being) responds: Or have access to a forum like this wh...

MG-2
Hey Prfct, From your previous post I'm glad to hear that your MG-2 is working out for you! Personally, I'm really enjoying this pistol.. I made the Mayleigh cup team this year at the Canadian Pistol Nationals with it. The mild recoil, excellent trigger, and great ergonomics helped my confidence, and...

MG2
Two out of three (known to me) weapon-related problems during this weeks Swedish Championships was MG2's that malfunctioned. There were no MG2 malfunctions at the Canadian National Champsionships.. there were many other malfunctions (including my own FWB 55p). I shot 8 events with the MG2 without a...

Evaluation of a new pistol
Hello Trinity (and friends), The phenomena that folks here call "new gun effect" is more generally known as the Hawthorne Effect. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawthorne_effect Basically, any change in tools or conditions can result in an increase in performance. For example... I bought a n...

MG2 Woes.. solved?
I've written about this before.. but it might be useful again. I bought my MG2 based on an excellent experience trying out Mark Briggs' MG2 at our local club in Ottawa. It felt GREAT! Coming from air pistol I appreciated the lower recoil, and the excellent trigger. I bought an MG2 with a Rinke grip ...

mg2 as a club gun...
I agree with Richard... I have an MG2, and I LOVE IT!!!! But.. no one should be ready to buy it as a "club" gun. For a good club gun you need a tank (or a Toyota) ... not a Ferrari. Even the fwb 93 (a fairly recent design) is pedestrian compared to the MG2. I mean.. look at the MG2's magaz...

MG2
dhurt: I found out about the grip the same way you did. I had my suspicions and was going to use talc, or sight black to prove it.. but no need, within a few hundred rounds, I had a nice little tunnel being drilled into inside of my grip. Anyway.. I had to trim it down twice, but it seems much bette...

MG2
Hello... I purchased an MG2 a few months ago and had a HORRIBLE time with it.. I was jamming about every 8 rounds... Well... turns out.. I purchased it with a Rinke grip (which I LOVE).. but the grip (stock) covers up much of the ejection ports (both right and left). Out came the dremel.. and that p...

Average scores versus the country you live in?
Several people have asked what country these folks shooting 570+, and training 30+ hours a week are from.. I would REALLY like to know where they are from, and what kind of support they are getting. Axel, I assume, is from Sweden (or Germany?). What about the other guests with fantastic scores??? I ...
