I once batch tested seventeen lots of TENEX at the Eley Customer Range, in three Hammerli pistols. There was no batch to batch / gun to gun correlation. The results of testing a particular lot of ammunition in one gun simply were inapplicable to any other gun. The precise reason we batch test. :) t...

Re: Weight for Second Stage
I ve tried to do a search on the optimal weight for the second stage, but couldn't find any. I know the answer could be the usual, "As you like it..." but I wanted to ask the resident experts for their thoughts on the advantages of having a very light second stage (as to cut on my search ...

Diferent batchs of the same pellet form the same manufacturer will have diferent results. You can also tune some...

Re: When is recoil felt?
Is recoil in the form of muzzle displacement from the original state noticed as the projectile leaves the barrel (or shortly after it does) i.e having no effect on the trajectory or is it progressively felt as the projectile accelerates down the barrel? Years ago a rifle shooter told me it was the ...

When the barrel is (slightly) above the hand, the chamber can be very close to the hand = just above it. This is what is done in the Hammerli, TOZ, Morini free pistols designs. When the barrel is moved down in line with the arm/hand, since there must be space for the trigger => the chamber must be ...
