Re: Desperate for a FAS 603 PLEEEEZ Help!

I personally feel the ISSF are fighting against introducing a 10m version of the 25m event for fear of losing the .22 event from the Olympics. David Probably very true, but the sadly the cost of range equipment and the space required for 25m rapid fire are substantial compare with any other event. ...

Re: Desperate for a FAS 603 PLEEEEZ Help!

The 603 won't get him to the Olympics as there is no Center Fire event and as for the 602 the only Olympic event that could be used in is the Rapid Fire for which there are far superior pistols. Even if the Center fire event was in the olympics, there is a high risk that a 603 could prevent him fro...

AP, Mechanically, the Anschutz LP@ and the Steyr LP10 are almost twins and the differences are mostly cosmetic. The Steyr has a ported barrel with a shroud and the balance weights attach in tracks on the sides of the shroud. The Anschutz barrel is not ported nor shrouded and the balance weights att...

Re: Question #7

I am somewhat surprised that NPA doesn't rank higher in most of the responses. I'll stick my neck out and take the bait! I am not surprised about this. Just about every this you see is sights , sight and more sights after that it trigger trigger trigger. For my $0.02, and i am still formulating my ...

I know one of the England shooters bought one of the walther stand at Intershoot this year. i have not had chance to ask him how he is getting on with it. I dry fired it a few times but it was not enough to judge relay. As I remember PaulT seemed quite impressed with the grip at the time, seemed to f...

Re: I handled Walther LP300XT on mar. 24 th, but did no firi

It is the Walther LP300XT. Nice, grip is wood, featuring a gray matte finish. Grip finish same as that of the new walther SSP. Heard about, or handled the SSP, "joe 1347"? No? Maybe the new Walther is simply just rumors and gossip too, Joe? http://www.shootingwiki.org/index.php?title=Walt...

Second stage trigger weights

I was talking about this with several folk and got inconsistent results so I wounder what you guys thought. Suppose you set you 500g trigger to have a 250g second stage, who do you set up you 1000g trigger 500/500 , 700/300 750/250 and what about your 1360g trigger ? On suggestion made , seemed to m...

Personal I think the verity of answers shows why this is an art and not a science. I dont see one I would disagree with, but I do sense personal priorities. I have to admit that Teds answer to #7 putting Attitude, at No.1 probably is correct I had it at No.8. For a lot of us Attitude is almost a giv...

Re: abortion shoots

Cesare Morini is a very creative pistol designer.... He was clever enough to design a pistol that will not load if the air pressure in the cylinder is not enough to deliver a reliable shot .... Surely he can design a pistol that will sieze up after say , 15 seconds and not fire ? We can perhaps ask...

The SP22 is listed by Walther in their "Defence" section. This does not automatically mean that it won't be good for ISSF Standard or Rapid, but I would have my doubts. Well spotted Dave, you are right that is indeed what I was think off my dyslexia getting the better of me. Ok so we are ...

You could solve that problem in one go. Lower the MSQ

I happen to know there are people (you know them too) that would love to enter.
