Thanks Doug
That is wicked helpful ( said with a Boston accent) I have recently changed my shot plan. Now it looks like I’ll change it some more!

I took a big risk and Drexel cut ( with a tungsten mini wheel) cross hatch, then filed points. Luckily it came out nice. The feel is great

Re: Izhmash 7-4 failure to fire
Update….
The aftermarket Alteus laminated stock was preventing the dry fire safety to come fully disengaged. Carved a relief on the inside of the stock to make more room. Works great

Izhmash 7-4 failure to fire
New to me 7-4
I know next to nothing about these just that I’ve always wanted one. As I discovered there is a dry fire feature that automatically Engadget when a magazine is removed. It won’t shoot for me
What am I missing? Is there a way to check the firing pin to see if it is broken?

Re: Looking to get back into competitive pistol
I’d be interested in the lp2. I shoot the used lp1. And the 162ei. Eventually shorter cylinders will be in my future. If I were you and had it to do all over again, I’d go with the lp2 and not look back

Re: Larry Carter passing
Larry was a very knowledgeable guy, albeit a bit grumpy at times.given a little time and he came around and warmed up. My favorite was when I was having issues with stovepipes, leading to alibis. He said " alibis are no problem, just send down 5 more 10's !

Re: wood sculptures (grips)
Back to the poster, before the hijack...very nice looking grip. In most cases, people are shooting a less formal dicipline and little additions to shape are of marginal benefit to final scores. IMHO

I have an olympic com reactive lp1 pcp. It has worked flawlessly for 10 years or so, all of a sudden my pellets can barely make it to the target. And when they of they almost bounce off!

Re: Which one Morini 162ei, Feinwerkbau p44, or Styre LP10Lo
Any of these will out shoot you, if you have the opportunity to hold and shoot any of them, it will be very valuable. After shooting many, and having saved funds for a top gun, I ended up with an lp1 (steyr) over the p44 , morini, lp10! and think of it this way, if you make a mistake you'll most lik...

I am right hand left eye dominant. several years ago I took the plunge and bought a set of nill griffe 7* offsets for my sp. I feel my npa is achieved more unconsciously now. And I do shoot it better than with the stock pardini grips My lp1, which I have rotated as best I could, does take a slight p...
