I have encountered this a few times over the years with my LP300. Adjusting the sear engagement has always done the trick.

Re: Aperture Cross Bar
I know that at one time, and may still be the case, full bore rules in the UK did not allow the use of spirit levels. The Cross Bar was deemed useful for ensuring that the rifle was not canted. Are there any Commonwealth full bore shooters who would care to comment?

It’s all part of the campaign to publicise their new guaranteed accuracy competition ammunition: Tenex GPS.

Re: Recoilless target firearm
Unfortunately not Tim, It was one of these things I noticed in passing and expected more details to emerge at a later date. However nothing appeared and I concluded that it had been abandoned. Short of ploughing through The Rifleman 1985 - 95 there’s not much I can suggest. I suppose it could even h...

Re: Recoilless target firearm
Reduced recoil or recoilless smallbore target rifles have been built. There was at least one competitor using one on the international circuit in the late ‘80s - early ‘90s. I gleaned this from the caption of a photo in the NSRA Rifleman. Unfortunately there were no details about the system and as i...

Re: Question for UK shooters
Breech-loading pistols under 60cm total length/30cm barrel are technically Section 5, where permission to grant falls to the Home Secretary rather than the local police. Some S.5 have been granted, particularly to Team GB members before the Olympics. Pre-1919 pistols in certain obscure calibres are...

Re: Floor Mat for Air Rifle Club Floor
We have just done some research on this subject with a view to replacing the current floor covering in both our airgun and rimfire ranges. After considering various types and makes and obtaining samples, the product we have selected is this one in 7mm textured PVC: https://r-tekmanufacturingltd.com/...

Re: If you could read just one book on rifle shooting.
First of all, I concur with Tim S regarding Fenning's Book. I have the same reservations and a couple of others, but having said that it is quite easily assimilable and most beginners are able to get value from it. When you start to look at the more heavyweight offerings then I prefer Buhlman & ...

Re: Mantisx Training Aid
I saw this device for the first time last week but didn't have much of an opportunity to examine it. From what I saw; was explained to me: it is limited in its capability and will only enable you to analyse the triggering (release) phase. That's a lot less than you can access with SCATT, Noptel or e...

Re: Swarovski acoustic sight and Johansson sound system
I have never seen anything like it in the UK, nor have I heard of it. There’s no URL or email on it (obviously quite old) so maybe your best course of action would be to phone the number on the box. I would be interested to know if you find out anything.

Or, look around for and old Dell Latitude or similar and use that to run your RIKA.

Re: Rika Website
Lenny, I recall that RIKA stopped manufacturing their trainer some considerable time ago so it wouldn’t surprise me that they’ve stopped supporting it altogether. V3.9 does ring a bell and that may well be the final iteration of the software. It’s pity that it was never developed as it does have som...

Re: MegaLink targets too bright!
The light level on the Megalink may be adjusted by use of the button on the circuit board on the right hand side of the unit behind the front cover. The default setting is maximum and I seem to remember that you have to press the button twice before it will change the setting, one level per press. T...

Re: Newbie Question: FAC Application (UK) and Mental Health
WSMshooter, You are right to be completely open and honest about things. A couple of things to think about: Have you discussed it with a club official? You should be able to do this on a confidential basis. Ensuring that the club is fully in the picture is important. I would strongly recommend that ...

Re: VI Paralympic shooting news?
I have heard that the Polish "Wings Group" have produced a VI sight that works on standard targets without any additional reference system. I presume that it is based upon a digital imaging system similar to that employed by the SCATT MX02. I hope to see one in the near future and will be ...

Re: VI Paralympic shooting news?
Albert, I am unaware of any stipulated location for the diode. However we have been mounting it in the logical position, above the target. It is positioned with the lower edge of the mount in the centre and level with the edge of the aperture of the EST (we use Megalink). The diode itself is approxi...

Re: VI Paralympic shooting news?
The Eko-Aims rifle sight works on a passive infra-red imaging principle. The IR source is a small Diode located close to the target. The original sight was used athe IPC demonstration event at Stoke Mandeville approximately 18 months ago. At that time it could be described as "work in progress ...

Re: Air Pistol In Hertforshire
You will have no difficulty bringing a sub 6 ft lb air pistol into the UK if you wish to do so. Regrettably, the area you are going to is not particularly well supplied with air gun clubs but the region; Southeast England; does have quite a lot of activity. Bisley is a little over an hours drive awa...

Thanks Ian, I couldn't locate any mention of ISSF approval; but my Norweigian isn't that good! I would presume that they are waiting for that before marketing the new system internationally.

Re: Mega link versus suis electronic targets
MegaLink now has small bore and air rifle target heads that use lasers instead of the foam and paper used in the microphone units. Service and support is simply the best. Can you provide a link for these please? I have heard that they are in the pipeline but have been unable to find anything listed...
