Re: Can anything be done to 46M dry fire?

Dry firing on my AP20 feels lighter too but it's just psychological

Re: Tau 7… yes or no

I don't really shoot 10m that much, maybe 30 shots once a week. The Tau uses 12g capsules too which apparently gives around 50 shots so that would be enough. My hands are average so assuming the grips would be ok. I really like the look of them and it's not often a proper target pistol comes up for ...

Tau 7… yes or no

There's a Tau 7 on a UK forum for sale for the equivalent of around $340 (£250). I've already got a Hammerli AP20 but I can't seem to 'bond' with it. What I'm really looking for is for someone to talk me out of it as I'm not exactly flush with money. Interested in opinions, either good or bad.

I think this would be at the bottom of the list of things I might need to improve.
Me too. $200? Seriously?

This seems to have helped a little.
I don't seem to have ruined my front sight either. Who'd have thought?

. . . a small orange chalk mark on the back of your front sight can also help you stayed focused there. Once your brain gets used to it, rub it off & put on a new one. He's right. Put on a new front sight - after you ruin the first one with orange chalk. How is chalk going to ruin a sight?

Re: Better groups on blank target

Just any sort of random splodge of chalk on the back will do. The idea is to give you something more definitive & irregular to focus on than a boring black rectangle. If it isn't in SHARP focus when the shot breaks, that's your problem. How effective it is may depend on the range lighting. ISSF...

Re: Better groups on blank target

Are you using a sub-6 hold? If not, start with that. Do you have shooting glasses? if you add +0.75 diopters to your normal prescription, you will be able to focus on your front sight better, and it will make it much harder to focus on the target. Having a small orange chalk mark on the back of you...

Re: Air Venturi V10 Users?

On my old Gamo Compact I put some lead weights in the recess under the barrel. I find it just as capable as anything else I've shot. The trigger needs a fettle but considering the cost they're amazing pistols.

Better groups on blank target

I always seem to shoot a tighter group when practicing with a blank target.
Any tips on how to ignore the black when shooting for score?
I'm not aware of focus shifting from the front sight.
