This is just my opinion but I've never felt a need to clean my Air rifle. I've been shooting it for years very actively (3-5 times a week, 500 or so pellets a week), and there has been no degradation in accuracy. It's been bench tested a few times through that and I've never noticed a difference. I ...

Anschutz Air Cylinder Dates
I also have several air cylinders with dates in this format. Rather than saying 2010/01 for example they say 08/02. I don't know which is the month and which is the year. I would assume that the order is the same, but I'd like to verify that...I have 4 cylinders that are expired if the date is backw...

My coach has taught me to make sure I have pressure on the second stage before I get on target. Not like just stopped at the stopping point when the second stage starts but actually pushing on the second stage. This helps with hesitation a lot because once you have that pressure on it becomes a psyc...

To get over the nerves you could also do some intensity drills. It depends a lot on what it is about finals that makes you nervous. If it is the lack of time then i would suggest you do a drill we call three shot finals, you run a normal final, but take three shots in every 75 second times frame. It...

Riverbend is awesome. I'm not a member (I have the budget of the average college student, 0), but my coach is and he takes us up there sometimes and I love it. I've shot rifle there and pistol. We shoot 3p and prone and the range is great. I've also done a match with Free pistol there and some pract...

I keep a journal, what I write in it changes a lot though, I haven't quite decided what I should be writing. When I first started a few years ago it was just how my shots, scores and that type stuff, nothing about mentality or even position. Then I moved to where I did more about some of the physica...

I have never used the triangular inserts but my coach told me that they are not good to use. the idea of the triangle is to give you three places to check that you are aligned, but the eye movement of this checking actually opens your hold. someone ran a test with some Olympic shooters using these a...

I ama female shooter and I use a medium grip. I am 18, if that helps. Also, My coach is a pistol shooter and he says that the grip size is not nearly as important on a rifle. I ahave a Feinwerkbau 700alu and the store I was buying from was out of stock of the small grips and I was going to wait. He ...

The Military here does have a cadet program, several in fact. There is a group of cadets for each branch (Navy, Marines, and Army) as a part of the American Cadet Alliance, as well as Sea Cadets, Civil Air Patrol, and Young Marines. I don't know much about the others, but the Sea Cadets shoot, somet...

I used to wear contacts when I shot, but they were annoying when they dreid out and I couldn't see as well, so I started wearing my glasses, pushed over my nose at an odd angle so I could see through the lens. This worked much better, I could see much better with the glasses than contacts. I have ju...

I have just started shooting in college (Go State!) and it really doesn't matter what rifle you have. Most Schools have team rifles, and some of my teammates are using old pump guns and they are going to competitons and shooting just fine. Another part of the decision is budget, can you afford a rea...

I soht 3P in high school for three years (college now) and I like Feinwerkbau. I started sporter, then moved up to the FWB p70. Senior year we got FWB p700's and they were even better than the p70's. All in all, you will be fine with any of the top brands (FWB, Anschutz, or walther; maybe styer but ...
