Shooting related injury ?

I have just been diagnosed with arthritis and a torn rotator cuff in my left (non-dominant) shoulder. I had been finding it increasingly painful to shoot for some months and decided to give it a rest for a season whilst I sought a referral to see what was going on. I can't help thinking that nearly ...

Steyr UK advise that the best results are with heavier 4.50 rifle (not pistol) pellets. I use JSB 4.50 Match Diablo rifle pellets in mine.

I use JSB Match Diablo AR (4.5mm) pellets in my LP1. Steyr UK recommend heavier AR pellets as the Steyrs operate at a higher velocity than other APs.

Shouldn't be a problem moving distances - on a standard Anschutz rearsight you should expect to go up about 40 clicks from 50yds to 100yds. A word of warning though - if you shoot with a noticeable degree of cant, you will also need to put on some windage.

It's shot 20 at 50, 20 at 50, 20 at 100, 20 at 100.

And a double Dewar is of course 40 shots each at 50yds and 100yds. Shot with a .22 rifle.

I've just switched from RWS Premium to JSB Match. I'm using the orange tin (rifle pellets) in my LP1 on the recommendation of Steyr UK. You can see the results of my recent batch test here:

To sum up for a Steyr I was adviced to select a high qulity pellet with a good reputation, that is on the heavier side, and you can easly and regularly obtain. Then have someone who knows what they are doing eg Styer UK, not the _know_it_all_ next door, tune the velocity in for that given pellet ty...

Steyr UK actually recommend using rifle, rather than pistol pellets because Steyr pistols operate with a higher velocity and the heavier rifle pellet is more stable in these conditions. I also know that pellets with a 4.50mm head size are a better fit in Steyrs than 4.49mm Up till recently I've been...
