I use modeling clay, the harder one, without baking it in. It's enough to hold for a few dozen shots and evaluate. Then I do it permanently with a piece of epoxy stick.

That's exactly the common wisdom. However on the last ISSF GP finals I've seen shooters who were indeed blinking.

It is not something that one sees recommended but I found that blinking helps. You can also see some of the top athletes doing this if you pay attention.

I get a full match and then some (perhaps 3-4 series) on mine from full cylinder. I do feel CM162 lasted more off 200 bar but not by very much.

There was research on this somewhere. Apparently most people who shoot with this special high shoulder position learned it to do so when they were young (9-11yo) and had troubles lifting it high enough. So it is not necessarily something to copy for an adult joining this sport.

Is there an advantage using a slanted trigger vs. setting a slight angle on the factory one? It's freely articulated on P8X with the ball joint.

I believe the reason for coarse threads is FWB uses a one-piece aluminium cylinder rather than a steel thread flange. Aluminium is very ductile: a fine pitched thread will shear easily.

- convinced myself to buy a top shelf match gun. Sounds silly but this pellet gun costs more than my 3 competition firearms, together!

What I did was bought a prescription testing frame, a set of dioptre testing inserts at that well known Chinese site. Cost a small fraction of "real" shooting frame alone. Works fine for shooting even if you look a bit dorky.
