My 300S and RWS MeisterKugeln (yellow and black label) leave nothing to be desired. Great pellet for my FWB300!

I've shot the Kimber and it feels heavier than the CM-2. Regardless of what the scales read, if it feels heavier it might as well be heavier. Another thing I don't like about the kimber is that the rear sight has the windage knob on the left side. I think the kimber 82 g is a great gun and very accu...

The Russian Izhmash CM-2 is a good entry level target rifle. The great thing about it is it comes with sights and a sling. While the sling looks cheap, I used mine for over a year. It is completely functional. About $600 from MT Guns. You can start doing mods to the gun at any point but I'd personal...

I don't think there would be any problem selling the CM-2 at some point in the future if he should get one. As for their accuracy, I shot a 1596 with mine in a 160 shot prone match this year and last month finished the season with a 1590. My rifle likes Lapua better than Eley. I've made a few modifi...

I have the Celestron 80 and it is excellent. I'm glad I got the 80 instead of the 65. I've looked through Kowa's and other scopes and don't see anything better than my Celestron with the exception of eye relief. The Kowa has longer eye relief but I have not felt hampered in any way with my 80. I can...

I would consider cheek pressure/cheekpiece issues if I thought everything else was correct.

As an average shooter with aspirations, I think, as Eric stated already, that mental is more important than physical and the mental characteristics that come to my mind are a love of shooting, romancing the idea of extreme marksmanship, desire, and a competitive mentality. Competetive shooting is me...

I use the 3.0 insert and have spent time comparing results with 2.8, 3.2 and 3.4. Sight radius dictates what this actually means so to put this into terms that you can actually interpret, on my particualr rifle and sight radius if I place the bull in my front aperture so that it is touching the edge...

Ditto on the CZ, however there is a model change in progress. The 452 has been around a good while and those of us who have them swear by them. Check out CMP rimfire sporter competition results and notice which rifles are winning. The new model 455 has interchangeable barrels and calibers which on t...

I don't know why I didn't think about bolt disassembly and reassembly. I'll do that. I'm somewhat calmed down about this rifle now. I can't spend anymore energy on it until I have a real deal gunsmith fix it. BTW, I just refinished and repaired a stock for someone on RFC. Have a looksee. http://www....

I took the rifle out yesterday afternoon and fired 5 rounds and the soot was between 8 & 9 o'clock relative to the firing pin strike. On a side note, I looked at the bore of the Anschutz and CM-2 with a friends bore scope and I was amazed to see a nicer looking bore in the CM-2. If you've ever s...

I've gone through about 1 case of ammo in the rifle. I was practicing with SK Std Plus and using SK Match in competition.
I'm going to drive the rifle to Chuck Gartland.

The initial feedback I got from the people I shoot with was that there couldn't be anything wrong with the rifle, that it had to be me. I had another shooter try the gun and it shot lousy for him. I shot two other rifles, the CM-2 using the Anschutz sights and I shot fine, the sights were fine and I...
