I'm pretty certain the spring he broke is the ejector spring, line 40 in the manual parts list and order # 002919.

Anschutz parts???

I'm having my 1907 pillar bedded and the gunsmith told me that he inadvertently broke an extractor spring. He has been trying to find a parts source but everyone is out or out of the country. Anyone have a source for parts?

Living in Georgia, I've had the opportunity to shoot with Eric several times and fwiw, he machined his own action and has a Kreiger barrel. I have had a tendency to be too low in prone and moved my handstop back and shortened my sling for practice yesterday and today and it looks promising to have a...

Dude, I feel like watching The Big Lebowski again.lol! Thanks for the response. I do shoot only prone with this rifle and have only been shooting prone for about 3 years. I tend to hash this stuff out for a while before doing anything and I really like the cheek piece and the ease of adjustment whil...

Thanks guys. I'll keep my eyes open for a used 1913 stock. I'm 5'10" so I think the larger stock may fit me better. I like the angular cheekpiece on my 1907 and the way I can tilt it gives me an easily repeatable cheekweld. I don't plan on making the switch until after this season is over, so I...

1907 vs 1913 prone

I shoot prone with my 1907 and am wondering if the deeper forestock is a negative for shooting prone since the barrel sits so much higher above the left hand (right hand shooter). The 1907 stock seems less popular than the 1913 and I'm wondering if the lack of popularity is more about the stock than...

My 2 cents is that if you are only shooting prone the Knoblochs are fine and that is what I have. The problem with Knobloch vs Champion is that if you are shooting offhand, kneeling or sitting and prone you have to take the frames off to make adjustments for each position and I find it tedious. If I...

I'll ditto what Bart and others said about your left arm. Your left elbow looks as if you are trying to get it directly under or even to the right of the stock so your platform looks like the leaning tower. Your left elbow should be, imo, in line with your left shoulder and hip. Your forearms will t...

I've shot maybe 4 cases of SK/Wolf and the only ftf's I've ever had were from the bolt handle not being all the way down and I've seen other shooters have ftf's for the same reason. I have had a tendency to grip with my right hand high enough to make contact with the bolt knob and a very few times t...

conventional or pillar bedding

Two years ago I bought an Anschutz 1907 and it shot very well for half a season and immediately after shooting a personal best in a match I took the rifle on a business trip to practice dryfire in my hotel room. When I returned I reinstalled the regular firing pin and on my next shooting session acc...

I have the Celestron 80 with an angled eyepiece and everyone who has looked through my scope has been amazed. It is still priced about $177 from OpticsPlanet. I can see .17 cal. holes in the black at 100 yds
I'm very happy with it.

compromised sight picture at 100 yds

I have Knobloch's with a prescription lens made to match my sight radius and I have a great sight picture at 50 yds and 50 meters but at 100 yds I have great difficulty discerning whether the bull is centered in my front aperture. Is this something anyone here has experience with? I'm planning to go...

Group purchase initiative

I am working on a group purchase of Russian match rifles. These guns are as accurate as the Anschutz but cost far less and include sights. You can see the rifles I'm referring to at http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/ural-5-1.shtml We are in the earliest stage of trying to gather interested buyers so...

Before I started shooting the 1907 I was cleaning 5 out of 6 A-23-5's in practice using SK Std Plus before doing the modifications to the gun and stock and I was Sharpshooter classification. I've only been back with the CM-2 for a month or so, so give me another month to get back into the groove wit...

I have a CM-2 and I also have a 1907 that I bought new last year and I still like my CM-2 the best. I have done some upgrades to my CM-2 to make it more comfortable. I installed a Masterclass adjustable cheekpiece and covered the cheekpiece with tennis overgrip. I have an MEC alloy buttplate and boy...

I'm one of the CM-2 cheerleaders on Rimfirecentral. Last July I bought a brand new Anschutz 1907 and have struggled with it and within the last month have gone back to my CM-2. On Wednesday I borescoped both guns and the CM-2 bore is noticeably better than the Anschutz. The CM-2 barrel looks almost ...

rear iris thread size?

I have a CM-2 match rifle. The dovetail on the receiver is not 11mm, but is smaller so it will not accept an Anschutz rear sight. The iris for the rear sight is slightly smaller than the standard 9.5 that is Anschutz, Gehman, etc. What I am wanting is the thread pitch, 9.5 x ??? I'd like to be able ...
