Re: freETarget
I had no idea really, since I retired I haven't given technology a second thought, I imagined they were something only the likes of NASA had! Shows what I know. I take it then that those STL files are universal?

Re: freETarget
Will you be offering the 3d printed face as an option for builders without access to a printer? Seems that it takes a large variable out of the way

Re: SIUS Electronic Target
Have you access to any lead? If so it makes a perfect backer for air weapons, the pellets just compress and almost weld themselves to it. Melt some down and cast it into a slab about 1/2" thick and screw it to the plywood backer, you can use a plywood to make a mould as a one off as long as it ...

Re: Beginner questions about 10m airguns
Joe, Within certain limits, yes a steadier hold allows a tighter aperture. However, as Colin noted, one creates problems by going too tight. The issue is diffraction (Colin I think that's the word on the tip of your tongue). The inner edge of the aperture isn't sharp, it's blurred by light and this...

Re: Beginner questions about 10m airguns
Do people every run a tighter/smaller iris for bench rest? It seems like you could go for that nice "lunar eclipse" sign and, boom!, another 10! But yeah, for off hand I prefer a larger one for sure. Joe The trouble is as you get too small an aperture is that the target aiming disc tends ...

Re: The future of shooting jackets/pants after the olympics ?
I do not think it's either fair, or historically accurate to say that heavy shooting specific clothing drove up rifle weight. Smallbore rifles have weighed 12-14lb and upwards since at least the 1950s. Shooting clothing was nothing like today's. Jackets were softer, and cut more like a blazer; cott...

Have you thought about one of those Lowepro camera rucksacks for all your bits and bobs? Padded customisable space plus room for clothes etc. May or may not suit but worth a look

Re: walther KK200 universal grip
What about using something like the Morini Grip Moulding Paste and just moulding one to the exact shape for you?

Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
The lightest one I know of is the Air Arms S200 at 2.9Kg as opposed to a 8002 at 5.5Kg. I looked at one for my wife a few years ago but never followed it through. It looks a bit basic and I have no idea how good they are

Re: Good shooting glove
I wonder if it is the hand position that is causing the problem? I use a very basic kit, an ESE basic handstop 30mm high, a leather Anschutz sling (very tight) and a cheap Shultz glove, I used to get a numb hand but I've moved my position so the rifle sits more on the ball of my thumb rather than th...

Re: Eyesight Issue
Thank you, I suppose for my purposes getting rid of the blob is the main thing, if I stick with the Gehmann 544MC then I could adjust the exact focal length to suit if need be although I would prefer not to. I have read in the forum that the lens should be far distance +1.5 diopters, I guess my opti...

Re: Eyesight Issue
Thanks, that sounds encouraging, it sounds like the lockdown will be easing over the next few weeks, I’m definitely going to see the man and get his advice once things cool down a little. I had thought about the astigmatism corrector but it looks like it fits after the iris which seems like it misse...

Re: Eyesight Issue
No, it's static, same sort of shape always and in the same place give or take, strangely enough I tried the other eye earlier and I had the same thing but a mirror image, I also tried with my glasses in the hope that if it went it might be astigmatism but it was still there. I don't think it's a flo...

Re: Eyesight Issue
Thanks Tim, it's not a cataract as far as I'm aware, I went to the optician a few weeks before we locked down, I have a history of glaucoma in the family so the optician really gave my eyes a good going over. There was no problem other than the drifting focus which he said was common in under 6 year...

Eyesight Issue
Hi all, I'm hoping for a little advice regarding my eyesight, normally I would go to the optician but with the current situation that's impossible. A bit about me, I'm UK based 60 years old, I used to shoot smallbore prone 25 and 50M in my younger days with some success but gave up for a number of y...
