Re: DIY tungsten weights for Pardini?
Ok. I did it. Cutting started slow but it went better once I found the right pressure, which is when you see sparks. You swiftly want a free disks, grinding wheel and belt sander. I did it outside with a full respirator and face mask. Deburring the cuts was harder. The fit is tighter than the steel ...

Re: gun choices for .22 target
I bought a 6" sig trailside (hammerli xesse) $500 on GB, larry's sight mount $100?, ultadot on ebay$100. That would be a reasonable place to start. I upgraded to larry's trigger $80? and rink grips $200. I've been shooting with it for about 2 years and am ranked 10/90 269 avg (includes a couple...

Re: trigger pull and accuracy
Seems true for me comparing how smoothly I can trigger an AP 500g vs firearm 2lbs.

Re: special spectacles for airpistol shooters
I use knobloch. I'm 55 and need glasses, astigmatism and can't focus near and far without change in glasses (I take the off them for close focus). I use a corrective lense that sets my focus just ahead of the front sight. (see shootingsight.com for test and real lenses and advice) and an iris that i...

DIY tungsten weights for Pardini?
Anyone tried making these? I see 8mm rod online and have an abrasive cutting wheel so I’m wondering if they will fit.

Re: Improve the FAS 6004
Replaced the paper shim with an aluminum and used the square edged McMaster beech seal and still getting 320 FPS. Apparently the 1 card stock shim was sealing now. A little silicone line on the stock o ring may have also helped. The square seal is a tiny bit small and tries to squirm out but hopeful...

Re: Improve the FAS 6004
Bought a FAS 6004 used and it wasn't very powerful to begin with. Lots of torn holes. I noticed today my pellets weren't even penetrating the paper with cardboard backer. Chrono showed a bimodal distribution at 260 and 230 FPS. I went through most of the tips here and am now at 320 FPS with meisterk...
