Re: Stolen Rifles - Help!
THEY HAVE BEEN FOUND! Thank you everybody for your help spreading the word. I don't know many details yet or when they will be back in our possession, but I got a call this morning from the Cranberry Township Police Department that both rifles had been recovered. They were found in the trunk of a st...

Re: Stolen Rifles - Help!
The guns were completely hidden from sight. There were 2 other vehicles broken into in the same lot at approximately the same time. All three of our vehicle were broken into through the passenger door and the glove boxes and center consoles were emptied. The police believe it was totally random, mos...

Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
Jeff, I was in no way implying anything bad about the 700. I only pointed out the age as a indication of a potential shot count on the rifle. My daughter goes through 10-15k pellets a year with her air rifle. Multiply that times 10-20 years. That is all I was getting at. I went to Trinidad State JC ...

Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
Jeff, Just because a rifle looks like new doesn't mean it will shoot like new. The FWB 700 has been around since about 2000. It was replaced in 2011-12 by the 800. Here is what I would suggest you do to check it out. If you have a chronograph or a friend has one you can borrow I would suggest you ta...

Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
The offhand stand can only be used between shots while resting and loading the next pellet.
Jr rifles also have lower quality sights and triggers. Same action and I THINK the same regulator.

Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
You would be more than welcome to stop by. However Mackenna and Riley will start shooting again as soon as we get back from Mackenna's rifle camps. I can let you know when we are going to be there.

Re: 1st PCP: LG400 or FWB800X
The LG400 Monotec is 4.97kg
The LG400 Expert is 4.3kg
The LG400 Alutec is 4.1kg
The 800X is 4.8kg
The 800W is 4.3kg
The 800X and the Monotec are the comparable top of the line offerings from Feinwerkbau and Walther. So the FWB is actually lighter.

Re: Lightest high end 10 meter air rifle
JL, My 4' 11" 17 year old daughter is shooting the FWB 800X. She was shooting the Crossman Challenger before jumping to precision class. The combination of the more precise fit, and being allowed to wear a shooting suit has made it easier for her, even though it is heavier. Her scores jumped fr...
