Yes it's definitely only a target scoring system - not a trainer. (I have the Rika) I'm wanting it for indoor - 10m AP. Reading the web site and the info on 'ML shoot' - which is the PC program which comes with it - the feedback from the target/monitor includes: graphic presentation of all shot in t...

Megalink electronic target systems

I'm looking to purchase the PC based Megalinf electronic target system. Priced at Euro 1250 it's certainly not over the top considering what it offers. http://megalink.no/defaultEN.htm Because my computer monitor can be used (along with a program for the PC) it saves purchasing 'there' monitor which...

I've worked it out. (he says with confidence!!!) Thanks to all contributors. David and Fred bringing this to a definition clarity. By the way Steve, I do remember your post of over a year ago about being able to feel the solenoid on the Morini, when squeezing the trigger with the electrics turned of...

Guest!!! I just had to reply, and presume your agressiveness is due to a 'bad day'??! "Removed from the event???" (60 shot series) Why so? Dry firing is allowed during the 60 shot qualifying round. My original post expalined as clearly as possible what and when I was doing. It attracted ac...

Dry Firing - in a final.

I have a question regarding dry firing in a final - 10m AP. The rules categorically state that dry firing is not allowed. Do I therefore understand that during a final - let's say during the period of idleness, where, for example, the scores of each individual are being announced, a competitor canno...

Fred, other than finding a new 'settle area' and by using the top of the target (as opposed to the bottom of the bull in sub six) as the 'gauge'. Also making sure that the 12 o'clock was high enough (hence I tend to refer to my hold as super 12) so that the bull never gets a chance to 'peek' out fro...

Fred - I thought 'having a lend of me' was an expression from your home country? The UK. For some reason I can picture in my mind watching episodes of 'Minder' - many, many years ago - and hearing that phrase. For the love of me I can picture the two main characters (the younger one using the phrase...

You are 'having a lend of me' for the New Year aren't you Steve?!!! Well, firstly, Happy New Year to you, and I hope after your op you'll be back on the range soon. Back in December 2006 you posted eight seperate times in a post titled, 'alternative point of aim' which had some other great posts in ...

Thanks to all of you for the options. I resorted to making both a plastic and aliminium spacer for both my LP 10 and the Morini. The hardest part was findning the right width as the original front sight sits in a sort of 'channel' - which stops the sight making any sideways movement. Earlier spacers...

And for me, I find that psychologically, I enjoy knowing that I'm going to get 'more' for my score. Meaning a decimal place. For me (and I know this is not the right way to approach shooting any shot) I find the pressure off in a final as (confirming Mike's comment) it's only 10 shots and even my ei...

Color Len's for indoor?

I've a simple query. Are there colored lenses that may possibly assist when shooting AP indoors? Sometimes the fluro lights - depending on where they are positioned - are a bit 'glary'. Othertimes I find some ranges a little on the dark side. That so - do colored lenses help? And if so - is there a ...

I too think that Steyr have introduced the ball bearing trigger as a way to 'update' the LP 10. I'm a good example. My previous LP 10 was only a year old. Out comes the 'new' model with the ball bearing trigger. I'm one for not wanting to be 'missing out' on some new tecnology improvement - no matte...

LP 10 - taller front sight?

Does anyone know if it's possible to obtain a higher front sight for the LP 10. I'm using the 5mm width version, but would like to have a taller front sight as I'm running out of adjustment due to a change to try the 12 oclock hold. By the way - I have the new model with the ball bearing trigger. I'...

However. If we were to be a little bizzarre about this, one would think that the practice of a backing target would not be allowed. For example, if one was supremely confident, by placed two competition targets in together and then shooting a 10, creates a great result. (yes - I know there's argueme...

One for the rule book?

I witnessed an interesting occurence at a weekend competition for AP last Saturday. One of the competitors used a 'backing target' behind the competition numbered target, for each series of ten shots. That way, after 10 shots, he could see his score for those 10 and more importantly (for him) he cou...

Thanks Steve and Tycho. I placed a couple of drops of oil at the hinge of the cocking arm and lever and the problem has disappeared. Maybe that washer you spoke of needs checking - but for now I'll leave things alone whilst they are back to normal.
