Steve Having read most (all) of your previous posts with great interest (and much gain) can I draw the conclusion that you use your Rika often (very)? 105 pellets is just over two and a half hours at your pace. Then there's dry firing of course. Maybe your 20 - 30 hours a week also includes your aer...

That's a great post Steve, with lots of good advice. Now I understand your earlier question. Looking back at my diary you are spot on. Many a time the 'religiously set break after 10 shots' has in fact disrupted what was a good string of well executed shots.(I'm not able to claim mostly 10's but lot...

That's a good point David. Previously I've always rushed my 'sighters', taking about 5 minutes. Next comp I was thinking about putting my 'new' pre/post shot timing into action. But, you're right. Doesn't leave me any time for surprise holdups. I know what's wrong. I've gone from rushing each shot a...

Steve I've just followed the 'way' matches are scored (6 series of 10 shots) and found this to be a good time to take a small break - as in the competitions I've been in (5 in total), an official comes around and collects the targets which we are responsible to stack in lots of 10. (for ease of scor...

Quality V's Quantity in practice?
I'd welcome some advice regarding my practice/training time. Up until recently, if I was dry firing or live fire against a balank target (AP) I would NEVER run through my pre and post competition shot routine. That way, I was able to shoot around 60 shots at a blank target within a hour. However, I ...

Blank Target Training and Results
I've been shooting AP for nearly a year. Once I was up and started - no doubt already with bad self taught habits I used this forum to obtain helpful information. Shooting at a blank target was advice given time and time again. So that's what I've been doing at least 3 times a week for about 9 month...

Every post has been a great help. Thanks. I've discovered a lot in the past 48 hours. Grip too small? Yes I think so. Trying next size up today. Freds photo's in a way mirror what I've done - but to get the blade to sit vertically on my finger I've had to swing it out. Fred B's post - great details....

Finger position and trigger blade.
I have a question. I note (using my LP 10) that the trigger blade (which leaves an imprint in my finger after about 20 shots) sits on my finger at an approx 45 degree angle. In other words, the blade does not leave a straight up and down mark - it's diagnal. The LP 10 blade can be adjusted so in fac...
