Jeez, haven't seen that pistol around for some years... I think he built it with some H152 parts, but can't be sure about that. Seeing what else he (and some other guys, back in the early 80s) put together, I very much doubt that it would be suitable for serial production. On the other hand, some y...

You'd probably be too late, friend of mine has something like that in a selfmade e-TOZ... Tycho, would your friend's e-trigger practically solve some of the problems where parts are an issue in the Toz trigger group.I am sure there are quite a few 35's lying around mortally wounded, that could be res...

pardini grips redux

As described in previous post, I redid the texture, and the finish. The texture is "mild",but may be increased by using "sharkbite" , a floorpaint additive from ....Home Depot, applied after the texture spray, and before the final matt acrylic.

If I used a lighter coat of acrylic finish ,instead of the urethane, there would be more texture. The existing texture was diminished by too much urethane. The texture coat ,I feel, needs a surface cover for longevity. With regards to stripping,it's so easy to mask with tape,I'm going to strip the wh...

thanks, the snake is the dog's favourite toy... I am thinking of using a matt oil finish to bring out more woodgrain, and an acrylic coating over the texture,as the solvent- based polyurethane smoothed out some of the texture a little.

got ugly bondo grips ?? try this...

Not being averse to altering a finely made grip by grinding and filling, I am left with a less-than-appealing vision, and so far have just lived with it.There is a Home Depot spray can called "stone" which is a high-build texture coat for creating a stone-like appearance, with a fine stipple...

toz mods continued

I have now added a fitting to index the top lever operation, for both the closed and locked position, and loading. There are two small detent grooves ground and polished into the radiused stub of the original lever, that take the springloaded ball of the threaded fitting.Works slick.... thanks to J-tea...

toz forend

I think it is more a different look, than pure weight reduction...plus ,of course the " cool" factor. ...they do look better , IMHO ,than the original chunk of wood . If you don't have the Rink type fore end with the adjustable counterweight , then this is an alternative. Also, the balance ...

comparison

I think the biggest difference is the difference in recoil/muzzle lift. The IZH is markedly less. That being said, whether it's "better"or not is a matter of preference. The other factor is grip angle, which can be varied somewhat by grip modification or change ,obviously.Trigger is way more ...

Pardini SP

I have the opportunity to purchase a Pardini SP. It's a 1995 model , bought new from Don Nygord.and in mint condition. There have been a number of model changes since then . Is there anything I should look out for , pertinent to this vintage ? Thankyou in advance for any responses. As an aside , I h...

BartP , please excuse Spencer's comments...after all ,he is Australian , and they are known for missing the point . If you come from NZ, as I do , then many years of firsthand knowledge give weight to this statement. After all ,they are jealous of our rugby team and our beautiful scenery,to mention ...

either the ball bearing in a detent...elegant , or an over-center latch / notch ,as the carbonfiber is very stiff in the vertical plane, yet "springy" in the horizontal.

I think each approach has its positives...I am an inveterate fiddler, (read , reinvent the wheel,to some extent, and a cheap bugger to boot ),so I receive a lot of pleasure from trying new stuff in a economical fashion. For instance,I will soon, delivery willing, have a width and depth adjustable notc...

perhaps because it would cost $260 here, plus freight ? A couple of the US army markmanship unit members use that model,so it's effective, and easy to clean.
