Re: Suitable Dot Scope for Ruger Mk III ?

Thank you all for the scope info. I purchased a new match dot on a black friday sale, mounted it, and installed a volquartsen accurizing kit as well. Re: Suitable Dot Scope for Ruger Mk III ?

Thank all you guys for the outstanding information. This really helps and I will be searching for the right dot scope thanks to you all. Most of those fit my budget. And I will def stay away from the cheap knock off brands. My 16 year old son is a "shoot and scoot" guy, like Cranster says....

Suitable Dot Scope for Ruger Mk III ?

Hello - I have a Ruger Mk III Target 22 LR and want to put a dot scope on it for Bullseye. At age 60 my eyes are struggling with the iron sights. Question - What are a few decent pistol dot scopes ? I have a budget but do not want to under or over spend of that matter. I am new to bullseye. I have s...

Re: Need Help Scoring a 10 Meter Target...

Replies are just guesswork, If you are really interested in his score, Monday morning call Champions Choice and order an outer scoring plug. Personally I would not place too much on score at his level of training. I would train him to take more sighters. One doesn’t cut it. Bottom sighted to warm u...

Re: Need Help Scoring a 10 Meter Target...

93 Awesome shooting for starting out sporter. Prone position I assume? If he keeps this up and progresses as he should then you need to start looking at precision equipment real soon! Don't worry this is an inexpensive sport. ;-) Thank you - Yes, it was prone. He is in 4-H this year and learning th...

Re: Need Help Scoring a 10 Meter Target...

Tom - Awesome and thanks for the help. That makes sense. Best Regards, Fletch For what it's worth, based on what I can see from the photo, I'd say #3 is a maybe, with #4 and #9 definitely in. Even without the gauges, it's often useful to look at the outer edge of the hole. #1, 3, 7, and 8 all look &...

Re: Savage Stock Modifications

https://www.thefirearmsforum.com/threads/restocking-a-savage-mkii-fvt-with-a-boyds-stock.179324/ Thank you, Spekr - That is an option, and the price point is good for the quality imho. However, for 4H Youth 3 Position, it does not have a rail on the forearm for the handstop/sling. Other than that, ...

Re: Savage Stock Modifications

AimAccuracy - Very Cool. Nice design! I think there would be interest in it if these were available for order. I would buy between 5 and 10 sets over the course of a season. I recently made a Anschutz 1903 Jr Stock for my son's Mark I. No easy endeavor, but very rewarding. However, not practical for...
