The Gehmann traps sold by our host and others (check Ebay) are well-made, light weight and relatively quiet. Not silent, but the spring-mounted steel plate does the reduce the sound compared to a non-moving backing. I live in a condo and the little bit of impact noise is not bothersome. These traps ...

I bought an Izzy first as a test. I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy one-handed, slow, deliberate 10m shooting, having mostly done two-handed plinking and "combat" type shooting in the past. Once I decided I liked AP, I found a good deal on a lightly used LP10 here on TT. I could sell the ...

If you like 10m shooting with the Izzy enough to consider upgrading, skip the intermediate step and go for a top-tier gun. You'll be money ahead in the long run. If you do eventually tire of the sport, the high end guns will likely hold value better than the Tau. $0.02

I'll reiterate the previous posts. The American Target Co targets are poor quality. I bought a chrony to check my LP10, thinking low velocity was causing the tearing. Its running 525fps with 7.0g R10s - plenty fast. I then tried some Cibles targets and they cut clean even with heavier pellets runnin...

Thanks for the tips on where to get JSB pellets, folks.
Doesn't look like anyone sells the pellet samplers, though.
Ah well.

Good cartoon - although this site probably has a higher collective IQ than most, that doesn't necessarily translate into more intelligent discussions. ;)

Where are you folks buying your JSBs?
And, does anyone sell the Match Test (pellet sampler) JSB lists on their website?

I'm not familiar with that incident. However, I would not want to purchase a gun that had been passed around and demoed by several people, which is why the manufacturers would need to be involved and provide guns strictly to be used as demos. If, for example, you demoed an LP10 and decided to buy it...

Try Before Buy Program?

I see many threads concerning which high-end AP one should buy, and the standard answer is to find the one that “fits, feels and works best” for that particular individual. Yet, many live too far from Scott, Larry or an active AP community where various guns could be viewed, handled and perhaps test...

Agreed. I e-mailed Pardini. I didn't expect they'd reveal any information even if there was an update in the works, but I was impressed they took the time to respond. A lot of companies these days don't even bother. Dear Mr.P, unfortunately there is no much I can tell you. We are always developing n...

I've heard that the K2 has an excellent trigger. I am trying to collect as much information as possible before investing 1 to 1.5 K$ in an AP. If an update to the gun were imminent, that would be pertinent information. The Morini shooters certainly seem to love their electronic trigger. Thanks, Joe.
