Re: Most used Standard Pistol

Probably because in 32. the 280 is a very, very good pistol, so somebody who is used to it just swaps to the .22 kit and keeps the same grip and trigger. The plastic is rarely a problem, the trigger is second to none. Problem for a lot of people is getting the thing "right" in their hand, ...

Re: Compensator or not ...

Ronny's comp is so easy to keep clean. Just put a bit of masking tape on the inside face of the front part, with a hole in it for the bullet. If it gets too dirty, pull the tape.

Re: balancing nose heavy AP?

If it's only the torque effect on your wrist that is annoying you, adding weight at the far back can help. Guy I know did that with a SAM M10, that thing was basically neutral over the middle finger at the end, despite having additional weights at the front and at the back. Very strange feeling, but...

Except for the fact that Walther develops its pistols while selling them, so the top competitors get the new triggers, and John Doe is crawling around under the bench looking for his rear sight that just fell off.

Not the dumbest idea I've ever heard. Saw too many people who ran off and got a "top of the line" AP to start with, only to find out that can't handle it. They either downgrade to a short one, stay at 510 for the rest of their lifes, or get frustrated and stop shooting. Either way, some of...

Putting a 2xAAA board into an old grip is basically impossible. The other way round takes 10 Minutes of work on the grip, but can be made. Doesn't look "nice", though.

Unobtanium. Cheapest way is to buy other pistols and strip them, second is custombuilding the parts you need.

Waht could he say, except that yes, Walther decided to scrap the best target pistol trigger in existence for a few sales of an ancient and overestimated GSP design?

Yep. You need everything except the lower frame. Easiest way to get that is to buy a complete .32 and grab all the parts except for the lower frame :-D

Very interesting... GFL cases are for sure Fiocchi, no way any other company would use that stuff... But I've never seen anything like it, Fiocchi in a GECO box, I got a bunch of GECO last year together with my Pardini HP - that ammo was not old, newer style GECO box, had GECO cases and certainly sh...

Geco was part of Dynamit Nobel, whose ammunition department (small arms stuff) was bought up by RUAG in 2002 and now runs under RUAG Ammotec. No way in hell is that stuff made by Fiocchi, and neither by Lapua. If you don't believe it, check out the cases, you can actually measure the difference. RUA...
