Re: Pardini K12
Yes. My K12 Short has 34cm sight radius, and my full length (but modded comp) 162EI 33cm. Just check where the rear sight is positioned.

Re: Buying first target pistol; have a few questions
"The grip angle can be adjusted"... Wondering how you came up with that, and makes me wonder about the quality of the "advice" people are getting here. "Will stay accurate for more rounds than most bullseye guys" - that goes for any .22 pistol. "Trigger placement, ...

Re: Evolution of the Olympic pistol scores
Back in the 80s, a lot of stuff was actually legal, even if frowned upon. There was quite a scandal back then when one of the top rifle shooters talked in an interview of using some kind of betablockers - they weren't prohibited, and according to him, everybody was using them on an international lev...

Re: Value of Hammerli 280
There must be a reason why 280s go for 500 on ebay... .32 kits for less than a 100... wait, that's in Europe. And don't compare the Benelli trigger to that of the 280, that will make the Benelli look like a chimpanzee built it. A 3rd or 4th series 280 will still shoot world class, the only question ...

Re: New FAS 6007 is here...
I think it looks cheap, just look at the rear sight. And they couldn't have mounted the grip further away from the barrel axis if they tried.

Works better than the average MG2, and shoots well with almost any load.

Well said.As weird as it may seem - having never met him - I'll miss him. Always wondered how it must have felt to shoot THAT score in an OG in your HOME country

Re: Wonderful news ! New FAS standard pistol !
I actually still think the FAS was a great design. Pity that nobody went and improved on it. Get the grip higher on the frame, and an improved trigger, and it would still shoot circles around many other pistols. QC wasn't that impressive though, but once a FAS worked, it would do so for a long time....

Re: Fair price for a Unique 2000U?
No reason not to feel good about it - I've got a bunch of very nice .22 short RF pistols, almost all state-of-the-art guns from the early 2000s... can't beat the price they're going for nowadays... no matter they aren't competition legal anymore, they're fun to shoot, technically interesting, and in...

Re: Morini 162 muzzle flip
The Morini comp is just a separator, no real compensator. If you want to see the muzzle flip, shoot 20 shots through a LP10, and then go back to the 162. I've seen facial expressions to that that should have been posted on youtube. Doesn't say it's a problem, though, a 162 will always jump a bit, an...

Re: Matchguns MG2 setup
Matchguns offers factory weights that go into the slide cover. Consists of two metal plates that can be mounted together or individually, and two screws. That's what the two threaded holes on top of the barrel or there for (at least I assume that the new versions have these holes, too, I stopped tra...

Re: Matchguns MG2 setup
IMO, the steel barrel shroud is too heavy for almost everybody. Remember that you also have the option of putting weights into the slidecover (the blue alu rail that goes on top of the slide). Shooting RF with the steel shroud is, IMO, YMMV, almost impossible, because you can't stop the muzzle fast ...

Re: What a crock!
Back when the first Hammerli 480 came out, with that "separator" in front of the barrel (nobody else had that), Hammerli actually made a show of it, demonstrating that you could put a mixture of "whatever" through the pistol without getting a bigger group than the 10 ring. I reme...

Re: Most used Standard Pistol
Don't know about MG, but I do have a Pardini barrel stamped "RF" that has a slightly wider chamber than the normal ones. You can actually feel when it cycles that the extraction takes less effort. AFAIK, this barrel was originally delivered to a national team shooter (I'm not saying which ...
