Pictures of Moritz Minder

Looking for pics of Moritz Minder shooting, preferably at the WC 1978 in Seoul (where he shot the world record at that time, 577). Trying to solve the riddle which pistol he used for that - I have pics of him using (different) MC55, and one that might be a TOZ, both undated. And the pistol that is s...

Not sure these things qualify as "boats". IMO, a boat needs to have substantial parts in the water, otherwise it's an airplane... And the last time real boats were used, the Kiwis on the Kiwi boat got clobbered by the Kiwis on the Swiss boat :-D

I've had a MK8 in my hands, and while it's better trash than the Tau-7, it's still trash, compared to the 1st tier guns - can't build a BMW for the price of a Dacia, even the Czech. You like the balance to the rear, IMO, get yourself a short Morini or a short Steyr and stick some lead to the grip.

Early ones were tricky, either they worked or they didn't. But I've seen two brand new MG2RF now this summer (not mine), one electronic, one mechanical, that worked right out of the box with every ammo we could find...

Not misbehaving, but I did see how he was practically carried to the range after a long, looooong night, and still shot 561 FP...

No, the 103 is far easier to cock than the 800E. And the 606 is, IMO, nicer to shoot, even if it's as slow as molasses. All in all, I wouldn't shoot the 800E, but I find it a fascinating piece of engineering. Value is whatever gets paid :-)

Well, when my Chrony 625 says "169.5 m/sec", that seems a pretty clear opinion to me... but yes, with light pellets, of course.

Yup. Basically the same as the early 102E.

Trigger is not original (FWB), but otherwise complete, and working.

There was an actual serial production, I've seen several (not many, but several) of them over the years. There was a CM1000E, too, with CO2. You can also find it mentioned in the list of grips made by Morini, at least until a few years back.

Will follow up with pic as soon as I'm home.

Again rather slow at just 380fps but a nicely made pistol
Well, the Air Match 600 evolved into the Morini Air Match 800E, which is one of the fastest SSPs around, close to 170 m/sec, with an ingenious "double-geared" (don't know the english expression for it) sidelever.

Sorry Uli, but I'm not going to help Walther with anything. I don't like their pistols, I don't like their advertising, and I really don't like the way Hämmerli was and is treated.

Except for the fact that it's AFAIK the only book about Hämmerli, and not very expensive, not worth the money. It's far from complete und not really usable as a reference book. Many things are missing, and some details clearly false, which makes one wonder about the statements in it one can't verify...

I partly agree. On the other hand, what's the use of illuminating the targets so bright that I actually have light refraction at the edges of my rear sight? Good for those selling filters, of course. We are running our club range now at the lower edge of the ISSF guidelines and that's ok, but on ran...

And ISSF lighting requirements are incredible. When we turn up the lights so the ISSF would be happy, everybody starts looking for sunglasses.
