I've never used one but I do have a method that works well for both paper and Sius targets.
I just make two rows of 6 piles with 5 pellets per pile.
It works well to make certain I don't put 6 shots into a paper target but also helps with my shooting pace on Electronic targets.

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
Not a Dire Warning (let’s not get dramatic) just one guys opinion about being safe. Pretty sure I’m still entitled to my opinion in this country. That said, glad to here that you are a mechanical engineer and approve of leaving the cylinder back a little. Still not really sure why you guys are jumpi...

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
I for one am not a mechanical engineer so I don’t have answers to your questions. I do know that the manufacturer probably put extensive man hours into the design of this product and if they recommend it be tight then that’s good enough for me. Common sense tells me that if the cylinder is properly ...

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
So just to clarify what you mean, you are saying adding a washer, so the cylinder cannot be screwed on as far, is going to provide the additional strength you are concerned about? I could see that providing more support to a side-load if the cylinder was dropped, but I fail to see how that will hav...

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
Yes, I do believe that we are talking about the consequences of failure, at least I was. The consideration of volume is not when the cylinder valve is open its when the tank valve is open. Also, I think this entire discussion should be settled with one well placed washer. I guess I would just rather...

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
When the tank valve gets closed, how much do you suggest that the pressure drops between the tank valve and cylinder? Zero. It's not a matter of pressure, it's a matter of Volume. When the cylinder gets filled, how many PSI do you think it takes before the threads are making the full contact with e...

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
The difference is that a fully seated cylinder is stronger than a thread that is not seated.
It then is only loosened after the tank valve is closed.
With your method the cylinder is not seated against the full capacity of the open tank.

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
Your right, it should have read more like this:
So, if I'm to understand this correctly you are going to partially screw the cylinder on then open a 4500 psi tank.
It seems to me that it could be potentially dangerous.
Please be careful.
Better?

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
That's a good point about it being designed to be under full pressure right up until it is screwed off enough to release the o ring seal.
I didn't think I was heckling, just trying to jump in for a change. I don't post much mostly just read now I know why.
Good shooting to you.

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
My mistake, 200 bar. The instructions for filling my cylinders specifically states to tighten the cylinder. If that's not the case for your pistol so be it.

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
So what your saying is that you intend to partially screw the cylinder on then apply 2000 PSI of pressure to it.
Good luck with that.

Re: Male to female DIN with bleed valve?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe what your trying to do is impossible seeing that as long as the cylinder is screwed on then the cylinder valve is open. Any attempt to release the pressure is just going to empty it. It's only the act of unscrewing it that closes the valve.

The Walther service rep in the USA that I have experience with is Elite Shooting Sports of Montana.
Unfortunately the shop is in the process of moving. (Has been for quite a while)
If you reach out to Joe Hein I think he will get right back to you, he always did with me.

Re: School me on scopes for BE
Is Aimpoint still around? Their original optic sight was made in Sweden and was built like a tank. I'll second that, I've been using an Aimpiont Comp for years and it has served me well. Though I would like to hear some recommendations for reflex sights to shave some weight. The older I get the hea...

Re: Matches in Mass?
Thanks for the post -TT- I'm a member of Worcester Pistol and Rifle, used to be the captain of the pistol team back in the early 90's. Also shot for Westboro Pistol and Rifle in the Maspenock league. Unfortunately the league matches don't start until the fall. Gives me time to practice I guess. I wa...

Matches in Mass?
Hello,
I'm a shooter from the late 80's early 90's who's trying to jump back into Bullseye and air pistol.
Any New England shooters out there know of upcoming Matches open to the public, 900's or maybe air pistol?
Thanks, Mike
