I too am very interested in this.
Is it harder to develop automaticity as you age ?
Is it harder to develop automaticity as you gain more experience ?

Re: Ankle locking boots
Interesting. I only recently came to the realization that, in AP, the movement of the sights on the target can be attributed to movements in : 1) the shooting arm and wrist, and/or 2) movement of the head. Once the sights are properly aligned if only your head moves then you'll score well. I now kno...

Re: Sight Alignment - Help Pls.
I would have thought I was focusing on the front sight.
But it now appears that my focus is not 100%.
Are known focus exercises ?
Tks. for that.
Tks. Chip for the rear/front sight method. I need to try that.
Is it possible to get some elaboration on " your grips don't fit right "

Sight Alignment - Help Pls.
Air Pistol. Lately I have been locking the sights, arm, grip and wrist, above the target, where the front and rear sights are more visible in the white of the target. Then lowering the pistol, through the black, to a sub-6 hold. The lowering of the pistol from above the target to the final sub-6, fo...

Re: Non-aiming eye....current school of thought?
I bought some cheap reading glasses that allow a good clear front sight but also give a good target view.
Then placed the translucent tape in the corner of the non-shooting eye lens.
If anything works better I'll try that for sure.
But vision is not my current reason I can't hold 60 x 10.

Re: Hämmerli AP20 Pro - reliable?
I also have a Hammerli AP20pro, owned for about 1 year before buying "my last pistol" a Steyr EVO 10e 8 months ago. Hammerli AP20pro - reliable, just tightened some screws after a few months. Had grip problems, my fault, being new to the sport didn't know what I needed, and didn't know wha...

Re: AP Weights - Use Them ?
Thank-you for the honest reminder that the gains from basic practice, certainly at my level, will exceed the returns from experimentation.

AP Weights - Use Them ?
Can someone Pls. explain to me the use of weights on the air pistol barrel ?
Theory and practical applications.
Are they primarily used to reduce movement after firing ?
Are they necessary ?

Funny how life is: Last year - after a few months or procrastination I finally decided to join a close by range - and then it was closed.
I'm an AP shooter just starting out but serious.
Now I need somewhere else to shoot and get some instruction.

Dear All:
Tks. for all your advice,
From the wishful to the practical.
Guess I'll have to find something to do during my recuperation.
Do any of your suffer repetitive injuries from 10m AP ?

How Do you handle / deal with a Sore Shoulder or Arm ?
Hi, 1st time poster.
Lately my arm and shoulder has been sore.
Probably strained at work, but with daily AP shooting it's not getting any better.
How do you guys handle this ? Continue shooting ? Exercise ?
Any and all advice will be appreciated.
