Re: Aiming mindset

It is an aiming area, not a spot. Nobody can hold the pistol perfectly still. Watch the video highlights of the ISSF and Olympic games and look at the muzzles. Trying to shoot when you reach a certain point will often lead to jerking and snatching. Your connection between the brain and the finger is...

Re: Grips: natural point of aim and cant

We all have different anatomies. I also have a tendency to cant to the left and correct it by paying attention to my sensations to rotate it to the right place. This happens also with a personalized grip. It is just a question of paying a little attention and correcting it. I would worry more about ...

Wouldn't the fit of the pellet carrier have more influence in precision ?

Thanks !

It is strange that the only kits available are found in Canada and nowhere else.

Help removing the regulator of a Morini 162E adapted for interchangeable cylinders

Hi all, I'm trying to fix a Morini 162E (no I after the E!) that I got recently and has suddenly stopped shooting, although the electronics work and a hard hit is felt. When I put on a freshly filled cylinder the lever is locked, as if there was no pressure, and when I move it with my finger and coc...

Re: IZH-Sight Inserts - Source

You don't have to. Actually, a smaller front sight may help you center your sights better under the bullseye. It is a question of preference. In any case, play with the rear sight to let more or less white space around the front sight. Extremes are never good, so not too broad nor too tight to ensur...

Re: Do you have a copy of AMERICAN RIFLEMAN MAGAZINE 9/1967?

Nope, and I have it translated now :) I also explored Russian speaking websites and did not get lucky. This is the first pistol Ive taken appart, amd it worked after putting it back together . Messing with the trigger is what's giving me trouble. I think there's an issue with the spring and I have t...

Thanks to all. Not needed any more. I got the page and it is just some generic info about the pistol. No luck with the trigger.

Sight alignment, trigger execution and wrist lock are the more important.

Do you have a copy of AMERICAN RIFLEMAN MAGAZINE 9/1967?

Hi, I'm trying to find more information about the Vostok / Baikal IZH-1 (aka IJ-1) free pistol. I've found the NRA magazine that covers it on Amazon, but it is not delivered to Belgium. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81fwESda+oL._AC_UF1000,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.jpg Can any of you send me pictures o...

Re: elbow pain and hypermobility

What works for me for elbow and shoulder shooting issues is physical therapy with weights. You will have to reduce a bit your training load at the beginning, but it gets better really quick.

I've watched them all on Eurosport via Movistar+. They were hard to find. I had to search for 'tiro final' (shooting final) to find them. No luck with 3p though.

Re: what's the shortest distance to practice?

Yes you can and many of us do. Remember that you get a bit less penalized for angular errors though. You can shoot as close as you have to, but bear in mind rebound shots if you put your target too close (5m is OK for me, but I'll always try to shoot the longest distance I have). Use this calculator...

Re: Do athletes solely train for one event or do they participate in multiple events?

Most pistol shooters I know train and shoot multiple pistol events, but not rifle. Daniel Goberville used to compete in both, but only did international competitions with rifle. I focus on precision 10m air pistol, followed by 50m and 25m events. 5*3 is my favorite rapid fire pistol event. I've rece...

Two lens shooting glasses

I've seen a few Asian shooters using two lens glasses like these ones (the first one has a rail for adding extras): https://english.news.cn/20240728/aa8895467ea54c619e496f69a25dbcd0/7LEvEdwdT0RKMxJt.jpg https://img.olympics.com/images/image/private/t_s_16_9_g_auto/t_s_w2440/f_auto/primary/lq5dzgy7tv...

Re: Why is Pardini K12 unpopular

The K12 has an amazing mechanical trigger and if you remove the grip you can see how it works.

Paolo Monna has won the bronze medal with it at the Paris olympics.

I personally find it too heavy.
