Re: Mg2

Slow mo shot https://youtu.be/ZvMrdq6DZ-M I was just shooting by one a couple days ago. The owner complained about the charging system because it is too easy to press the part that discharges the rounds and sends them flying. He had a couple issues with shots not firing, maybe linked to the dry fire...

Re: Styer grip attach?

I had the same issue with an LL grip for Steyr Evo. Everybody said it was easy... until they tried! It was awful and made me not want to do any changes to it, plus it attached negativity to my relationship with the pistol. I had no issues with a rink grip. I ended up talking with Steyr and they show...

Re: Pistol targets click chart

Thanks @Grippy.

My pistol has 2mm clicks, very easy for counting :) https://www.olympicpistol.com/feinwerkb ... ol-review/ My rule of thumb is 6 or 7 clicks with the air pistols I don't know for each ring.

Pistol targets click chart

Hi, I've made a chart to make it easier for new pistol shooters to understand how many clicks they have to give to correct their groups https://www.olympicpistol.com/how-to-click-a-pistol-issf-windage-and-elevation-sighting-instructions/ . I still have nightmares of one of my first days shooting whe...

Re: FWB P8x vs Steyr evo 10e - share your experience
Ramon, Did you try making trigger adjustments on your Evo, or are you comparing them both as they came from the box?
Yes. It is not a question of settings of the trigger. The P8X has a much smoother trigger irrespective of the changes you make.

Re: FWB P8x vs Steyr evo 10e - share your experience

I had a mechanical Evo 10 and now shoot with the P8X. The main differences for me are: 1. Balance: the Evo is nose heavy and more demanding in terms of strength. 2. Trigger: the P8X has a much smoother trigger, really nice. The Evo manual trigger is coarse by comparison. 3. Weight: the P8X is lighte...

They shouldn't be. Just remember how far you turn the screw to go back to the original setting, maybe even write it down.

Re: 5m scaled down targets

The main issue with taking into account the center of the shot (which is complicated by itself without an electronic target which already do it like this one https://www.olympicpistol.com/inband-air-electronic-target-review/ ) is that it does not take into account the angle at which you shoot, if yo...

Use phone apps or download free meditation mp3. To start with I would recommend the Headspace app.

Re: How blurry can you go?

Yes, front sight as crisp as possible, target gets more blurry as prescription goes up. As age goes up the eye has more trouble and the prescription for short sightedness goes up. My shooting glasses have a slightly different prescription, as the front sight is farther than a book or the computer sc...

4 to 5 times a week plus physical conditioning. My range opens three days a week when not in lock down. I do a lot of dry firing and holding at home.

For which events and disciplines are you asking? Sius is the brand used at the Olympics. Another brand that is widely used is Meyton. Shooters have all kind of targets at home and at the range, electronic and manual. My set up for air pistol at home includes a simple target holder and pellet catcher...

Re: Tendinitis and age

No your shooting days are not over. You just need a bit of strength training. Rest is not necessary, you just have to reduce the workload and test with your training. In fact, total rest is counterproductive. Stretching will do nothing to cure it but it may reduce pain. I skip it now. If you can fin...
