Walther LP400 grip sizes
I have pretty much decided to get myself a Hammerli AP20 pro, to get some home training done for my rimfire shooting. I just cant find any info on grip sizes, even Walther were not able to give me a size chart (they said one would be ready sometime in August though). My hand is 97mm wide, so I was t...

Hämmerli AP20 Pro - reliable?
I have been shooting rimfire for quite some time now, and have come to the conclusion that being able to train at home could be quite beneficial. I have been looking at different PCP air pistols. I most likely will not actually compete with it, but rather use it to train generel shooting / trigger t...

Re: GRIP PUTTY
Have anyone ever used polymer clay? It needs to be hardened in an oven, and I am not really sure if this has any negative effects for a wooden grip? I have just tried adding some more defined finger grooves to a grip for an older "backup" gun, and I cured it for about 40 minutes at 130°C (...

Re: Quick question about Match gun MG2 function
After about an hour of adjustment, the disconnector now seems to be working as it should. I started out by just adjusting the trigger stop and disconnector screw, but with no luck. I then started messing around with almost all other adjustment screws as well, and after 45 minutes of adjustment and c...

Re: Quick question about Match gun MG2 function
Thank you all for the replies The 'extra safety' is meant as lots of sear engagement After the first double fire, I started loading single rounds, I agree completely that this is too unsafe I already have quite short overtravel, but I will try making it even shorter. It also has a screw called somet...

Quick question about Match gun MG2 function
Hello I have just received a new (55xx) match gun MG2. I have only taken it to the range twice, and had some problems with it the second time. When firing, the first shot is extracted as it should, and the next round enters the chamber as it should. However, the hammer does not "stay back"...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?
I have used mainly SK pistol match in mine, but also some SK standard plus, and didn't notice any difference regarding reliability. The reliability has been flawless for 300-500 rounds, until the firing pin broke. I have the "magazine seat height screw" (not sure what the correct term is) ...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?
Actually, the new extractor made no difference, it would barely even touch the casing. I found out that the barrel would have to be re-seated, apparantly this is a common issue with earlier models (I guess those without the takedown lever). But because of the prices of danish gunsmiths, and their, I...

Re: New updates for the MATCHGUNS MG2 RIO 2016
Apparently there has been a bit of a mix-up regarding the serial number. It is not 52xx but rather 55xx. I dont know how much this changes though, unless Match Guns only has small production numbers? But I guess that could be the case maybe, after all I would asume that the market for olympic style ...

Re: New updates for the MATCHGUNS MG2 RIO 2016
Thank you for the suggestion, I will try to do that The 2014 matchgun you mentioned would malfunction sometimes, was that a rapidfire version? It seems that they are a bit 'hit or miss' at least those without the newest upgrades. Maybe it would be possible to replace the old bullet feed parts with t...

Re: New updates for the MATCHGUNS MG2 RIO 2016
I am at a bit of a loss. Unfortunately, due to greedy dealers I guess, a brand new one is more than 40% more expensive, which doesnt make sense, but there is only very few dealers in my country. On one hand I want something reliable, on the other hand I dont want to be ripped off by paying ridiculou...

Re: New updates for the MATCHGUNS MG2 RIO 2016
What are your experiences regarding reliability of the 5xxx match guns? The price is much better than what other dealers are charging, so I think I will get it anyway. From other topics it seems that a MG2 with S/NR over 5000 should be nice and reliable. I guess whatever changes was made regarding t...

Re: New updates for the MATCHGUNS MG2 RIO 2016
Sorry to revive an old topic Does anyone know what serial number a Match Gun MG2 should have to include these updates? I ask because I am about to buy a new one, but I was told the serial number is 52xx, which I think is not that new, but maybe more like 2013? If the trigger was improved at the late...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?
After grinding down a screw driver quite a low, I managed to take apart the extractor. I cleaned the entire bolt and extractor parts completely. I looks to me like the claw of the extractor is broken off. I have ordered a new extractor from the manufacturer. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. No...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?
Thank you for the suggestions, I will try and clean it properly around the extractor and the chamber. The photo of the extractor gripping the round is a bit misleeding, the extractor doesn't actually "grip" the round, and the round will fall out easily, even if I just tilted the bolt sligh...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?
I tried taking some pictures, although the quality may not be that great, it was quite hard to get the camera to focus properly It is quite difficult to see, but there is a small mark on the chamber. The mark looks to be exactly above where the firing pin strikes the round. The extractor does not gr...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?
Thank you for the replies
When I remove the bolt and try to clip in a round, I am not actually able to clip it in, because the grip is so weak. It almost looks like the extractor hook is not 'deep' enough to make contact as such
Best regards

FAS 607 - weak extractor?
I bought an, I believe, early model FAS 607 (22 LR) a few months back. I have put maybe 2-300 rounds through it so far. The pistol fits me really well, but I have experienced some malfunctions. The empty cases sometimes do not "leave" the pistol properly, clearly shown by the cases being &...

Re: FAS 607
I have been looking at that one too, unfortunately I think that about 5000 DKK is a bit too expensive for me.
I think I might be able to get the 607 at about half the price, if I can knock the price down a bit due to the grip being slightly modded

Re: FAS 607
I have arranged to go test fire it later this week, if it fits my hand I might buy it. Unfortunately I have not seen them for sale in Denmark before, so I have no idea of what a fair price would be.
