Re: Am I too old?

Yes. There is hope. It's a matter of spending the time and learning the craft. I'll give you a couple of examples. A friend of mine started competitive pistol around 27. He competed at the Rio Olympics and earlier this year made it to finals at the CAT Games. I know of a second that picked up pistol...

Re: How can I get a good score in free pistol

Below are my comments. This is only what I have learned by experimenting. For Free Pistol I learned everything myself so I am sure I am making mistakes. I just know what has worked for me to improve my scores. My scores jumped 20 points when I did the following things. 1. Use a firmer grip than air ...

Re: Inband Air electronic target review

Patrick (TT username: prowling) might be able to answer that question. He is the U.S. distributor of Inband. He has been very helpful answering questions I had regarding the Inband system.

Re: Wanting to start

Completely agree with GWhite. As much as I want to shoot the Rapid Fire discipline there are no active ranges near me which are set up for Rapid Fire. Air Pistol is the most convenient. You can set up a range at home assuming it is not illegal in your area to do so. Sport Pistol and 50 meter/Free Pi...

Re: LP500 e-trigger compared to Morini 162 or 200 e-trigger

Thanks for the suggestion. I recently discovered the MEC triggers, but I'm talking about the trigger assembly versus the trigger blade itself. I'd like to incorporate both first and second stage into the the X-Change trigger assembly location. For whatever reason the first stage of the LP500 doesn't...

Re: Position of pistol ?

You can try adding a little wood putty at the base of the grip near the palm rest. That should rotate the grip clockwise. However, making that change can affect how your hand falls on the grip so you may end up having to make other adjustments elsewhere on the grip. You can try this by using somethi...

Re: LP500 e-trigger compared to Morini 162 or 200 e-trigger

I appreciate your thoughts. Sometimes I just want to build my own trigger. It seems there is always something that is missing from each pistol. I like the LP500 a lot for it's flexibility and light weight. I can adjust everything how I like it. I just don't like the trigger that much.

Re: LP500 e-trigger compared to Morini 162 or 200 e-trigger

Thanks! Good to know. How does the LP500 e-trigger feel compared to the mechanical? From what I observe the first stage is exactly the same mechanism. Does the second stage feel much different?

LP500 e-trigger compared to Morini 162 or 200 e-trigger

Anyone have experience with both the LP500 e-trigger and the Morini 162 or 200 e-triggers? I have an LP500 mechanical and a Morini 162 electronic. I am considering going to an LP500 electronic trigger. Just wondering how the triggers compare in terms of feel.

Thanks for any input!

Re: Considering my first PCP pistol

I've used both hand pumps and SCUBA tanks. Even though hand pumps are multi-stage it does take some effort to use a hand pump due to the high pressures that need to be reached to fill to 200 bar/~3000 PSI. With my Hill MK4 it must have taken me 40+ pumps to fill my air cylinder and that is not from ...

Re: Help My New Morini mc 162el has a problem.

I have had to tighten that screw and add Loctite to it when my loading lever got loose. I wouldn't be surprised if the previous owner had to re-tighten the screw. I think it could be possible that the threads get damaged if one were to use excessive force to remove the screw. The metal is aluminum a...

Re: Help My New Morini mc 162el has a problem.

I think the problem is not uncommon. Part 162028, the dowel rod which connects the bolt and lever, can wear a slight grove in the slot it moves through. 162_diagram.jpg 162_dowel.jpg 162_slot.jpg I emailed Morini about it and this was their reply: "the problem concerns the sliding of cod.162028...

Re: Hill pump MK4 seal change diagram

I had the same problem. I was never sure what the problem was. I thought it was a clogged micron filter. The gaskets looked fine to me. I applied silicone grease where recommended. I tried cleaning the filter (probably better just to get a new one) and cleaning out foreign particles where I could in...

Re: partcipation in postal matches.

I too am looking for postal matches. I am brand new to air pistol having gotten my first air pistol a week and a half ago. For that matter I am fairly new to all pistols having shot my first centerfire pistol 2 years ago when my wife wanted to learn how to shoot pistols and we took a couple of lesso...
