Success! Got the probe o-ring changed. Not rocket science, just pretty fiddley. The ball and spring stayed in place, held by grease, but I need a new spring as the old one was in three pieces. I can now see how the Hammer comes out, when I get the correct pin.
Thanks again!

- Topic: How to get VAT money back when ordering from Europe?

A VAT registered business in Europe should not charge VAT on an order from outside the EU. In the UK however, very small businesses/cottage industries are not required to register for VAT, but equally cannot reclaim the VAT they pay on supplies. A purchase from a non-VAT registered business will the...

WALTHER CP2 MATCH CO2
I've just obtained an old, but good, Walther CP2 Match. A set of o-rings is on it's way to me.
Can anyone point me towards some strip-down instructions please, as the exploded drawing on the Walther site is not very self explanatory.
I doubt the job is rocket science, but fore warned is fore armed.

$525 including shipping is maybe not too bad for the PCP version, though personally I have no problems with CO2. In UK we can buy 12g cartridges in bulk at sensible prices ie. £0.3 Sterling. Unless it is regulated, which I would doubt, 525 is enough though. My purchase included 19% sales tax. Your D...

10m Air Pistol Record
I am sure that I read somewhere (possibly on this forum or Pilkguns site) that the 10m Air Pistol world record is still held from a good number of years ago, by a CO2 powered pistol, .
If so, could someone please post details.
If wrong, please post the right answer!

There was a good tip on here a few months ago. Take a standard target and depending on what your normal hold is, cut out the corresponding ring. Only the shots outside your regular hold will show; those inside the hole are OK. As your hold improves, cut out a higher ring. One card can last for 30 or...

Thanks Jack! Yes it's an old thread, but it's never too late to receive good information. I have actually settled (for better or worse) on the raise above, drop slightly below and re-raise to aim as being the most comfortable to me. I haven't thought consciously about which muscles I'm using, so I w...

I don't feel qualified or experienced enough to discuss variations of stance in detail, but can only mention what appears to work for me, in case others wish to try as well. If however, anyone wishes to read the full article I mentioned (by Tom Readhead, the UK National Pistol Coach) I do have a pho...

Hi Guys Just back home after 5 weeks vacation, so apologies for no replies. Fred: I started with an approx 45% stance, then read an article on the coaching for the UK Olympic team, suggesting that the 90% stance could be a better bet. I tried it and it seems to work for me. Bill: As above. I don't t...

A point I should clarify (and indeed should have mentioned previously) is that I shoot 10m AP, not heavy cal. powder burners and the stance I use is a full 90deg to firing line, head full 90 deg to the right. Eye and arm are therefore in line, leaving the hold on the pistol as the variable. Alex, I ...

I'm just a newbie and have been struggling for 18 months to get my averages above 83 or 84/100 - adjusting almost everything on the gun from time to time (as you do!!). I thought I was using my NPA, but decided to double check. Raising the gun, eyes closed, the front sight was off to the left, by ar...
