Re: Morini Titanium sight alignment
I have an old CM 162 EI and to solve this i used two narrow pieces of tape to one side of the pistol frame. That was enough to correct that 2-3 degree deviation and put the sights into the perfect spot. Steyr does the same elegantly with adjustment bolts in the frame, but the tqpe works. Be careful ...

Re: Handle fit
I have a similar problem with my medium size, left handed Morini grip. Two suggestions: 1. Try to fit a piece of folded paper between the upper part of the grip and your hand (where your thumb meets the palm.) You may feel the pistol a bit more stable in the hand. That confirmed, do a permanent adju...

Re: Some basic questions
Like me, you look to be on then way of the shooting enlightment path, grasshopper... Adjust the trigger shoe to be perpendicular to the barrel axis and care about squeezing it gently and appliying no lateral force. There is a sweet spot on the longitudinal trigger adjustment that favours that. The t...

Re: Converting a FWB C60 to compressed air
I am used to either CO2 and compressed air pistols and I hope I could give a somewhat useful 2¢ of advice. I switched from CO2 to PCP in the pistol I happen to currently used, just because this particular pistol does come only in PCP configuration. The former one, an FWB C20, is easy to bulk recharg...

Re: Weighting different air pistols
Most of the kids pistols are unseen around here: Tau, Benelli, Pardini. A son of a fellow shooter uses a Hammerli AP 40 and we heard good remarks about the AP20. We see some compact models around, but not frequently. With the available offers, the LP2 proved itself adequate. The Morini was too heavy...

Weighting different air pistols
I was looking for an air pistol suitable for my daughter to start on AP shooting. She is 14 and somewhat skinny and currently shoots open sight air rifle in the local state matches (that is a popular category in Brazil) and is willing to get into Olympic pistol shooting. She tried some of my old FWB...

Re: Refills from a bulk CO2 tank question
Look for a 4 lbs tank. Easy to carry and to turn upside down when filling the cylinders. Each of my C20's cylinders carry 53 grams of liquid CO2. To fill them up: 1. Chill the empty cylinder in the freezer for 10 minutes. 2. Attach it to the proper adapter in the tank (each gun maker has its own spe...

Re: Twitch Shot in 10 Meter Air Pistol
Try working specifically on the release and wrist control, with supported shooting http://www.pilkguns.com/anatoli2-shtml/ My coach teached me this and I could not believe it was so hard... You may sit, forearm resting on a sandbag, do your usual sigthing and release procedure. Ohh, that will be all...

Re: New to 10meter air pistol
Having shot anything like bullseye you will not be much out of your turf in the ISSF disciplines. Take a look at our host's coaching section: http://www.pilkguns.com/menu_coaching.shtml/ Then have a couple of bitters with the guys in the firing line. They will teach you everything you need to start ...

Re: LP50 questions
It worths to try other equipment. Only way to make sure how do you feel about shooting a particular pistol. You will find a handful of nice offers from the leading brands: Steyr, Morini, FWB, Pardini, Matchguns... Steyr alone have half a dozen options. There is not a "best" pistol, there i...

This seems to be one of the standard inserts provided with the Weihrauch springers. They come with this tapered post mounted in the tunnel and they usually offer complimentary 5 inserts, like these: http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Front_Sight_Inserts_Fits_Weihrauch_Beeman_HW_Air_Rifles_575_OD/3542 Hop...

Re: Pros/Cons of shooting Rifle pellets in Pistol?
Any top brand pellet should perform adequately in your air pistol, no matter if it is a light or heavy weight one. If you do some pellet testing you will verify significant differences in the groups, but even the largest will be probably too small to make a difference when you add up your arc of mov...
