Re: College Teams?

The list says “Rifle Teams” but the original post simply says “collegiate teams”. If you are including pistol, you might enquire with University of S. Carolina in Columbia, SC. They have (had?) a pistol team for a while. I know because they showed up at 2700 matches at Mid Carolina Rifle & Pist...

Re: Training/Certifications for Future Coaches

NRA has a coaching webpage . There are basically 3 levels. They are also discipline specific. Coach Certified Coach Advanced Certified Coach Coach is basically a two day school with a test. Certified coach is the school + First Aid & CPR and a coaching fundamentals course through Human Kinetics....

Re: College Teams?

Bob, thanks. If you go to the NRA webpage and click on the link to Collegiate Shooting Sports Directory it goes nowhere. The link to USA Shooting goes to a 404 page. I'm trying to point some local coaches and parents (with far less knowledge and experience than I have) and finding that simple things...

College Teams?

So it seems like the NRA has gotten rid of their collegiate shooting page. The links point to somthing that does not exist, probably because it has not been paid attention to since 1996. The CMP has a nice webpage with NCAA teams, but we all know that the majority of the teams are club sports. Out o...

Re: E-targets (recommendations)

Sport Shooting Depot is an official SportQuantum dealer for the US and Canada and can definitely help you with SQ10. Between ultimate flexibility, no consumables (read - lowest TCO) and interactivity it is an easy choice to any club especially if your goal is to attract new members and to keep juni...

Does anyone know if there is a list of e-targets that are ok for the use in USA Shooting competitions?

That fact that you and RRR have Sius makes me strongly consider them.

That being said, I just ordered a SQ for myself to play around with.

Re: Stand for motorized target systems

Our club has benches that the return system hooks onto. 10m down range is a flange bolted to the floor. A 1" square piece of steel tubing fits into the flange. It's about 4foot high. On the bottom of the target holder there is some system that hooks into the tubing. https://imagizer.imageshack....

I have an Orion software lic already, so would not have to get another. I did ask them for a quote and they were quite responsive. Waiting to hear back from a few others.

Re: E-targets (recommendations)

Well that certainly makes a lot of sense from the standpoint of a competitor. That being said, it does leave questions as far as the ease of managing the system, both the software and electromechanical systems. I know a fair number of them use consumables like paper strips, which sounds like a pain ...

E-targets (recommendations)

Say for instance you were going to get 10 targets for an airgun range. Based on your experience which system would you recommend? Price is not the only consideration. Reliability, ease of use and aftermarket support is all equally important. This would be for a club looking to up their game. It woul...

Re: Picatinny rail for KK500?

VFGar Gunsmithing has an 11mm to Pic rail that he makes.

I don't know how to post a link with this silly forum system. Just google it. You will probably have to call or e-mail him, since he does not have online ordering.

Challenger 2021 Manual

I've had a Challenger 2021 for a little over a year and a half. They shipped the thing with a manual with friggin 8 point font, so I had to get out my optiviser to read the darn thing. No biggie, I'll just go to their website and download the .pdf file. Yeah, they don't have the darn thing on their ...

Re: FWB 800 rear sight cover problem

I think it's a new design. Mine has miniscule plastic tabs (top, left & right) without any screw. I know there are two designs though, as SS Depot has two options. I actually thought about using super glue or epoxy to permanently attach the plastic housing directly to the sight housing when the ...

Yeah they are kind of junky. I ordered two from Germany a couple of weeks ago. The one on my 800X broke after a year. I think Shooting Sports Depot has them in stock. When mine broke, there were not any in stock here in the states.

You cannot improve with gear that does not shoot on call. If the war calls for F35s, showing up with a biplane doesn’t give you the moral high ground.
Nice first post. Could not agree more.

Ahhh, that's why. Really appreciate your clarification.

Probably why the USA Shooting Rules have a 2013 edition date.
