Re: IZH-Sight Inserts - Source

The US Olympic Training Center and the MEC book both recommend a very symmetrical sight picture. Not only is the width of the front sight matched to the apparent width of the black, but the sight side gaps & space below the black are the same: https://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?p=290096#p...

Re: IZH-Sight Inserts - Source

That you. I'll get measurements later this evening. I picked up some sheet aluminum so I'm going to fabricate up a new front and rear post to try - I may not like the wider post, but I'd at least like to see the difference. The current front post is about 1-1.5mm narrower than the black rings at 10m

As I understand the sub six hold, you want the front post to be about as wide as the black rings on the target at 10m - my front post is only about half as wide.

Re: IZH-Sight Inserts - Source

The front sight is a pretty simple piece of metal. If worse comes to worse, you could make a wider one, even out of black plastic or aluminum. The rear sight blades have two different sized notches. You take out the screws, and rotate the blade 180 degrees to change width. NOTE! The rear sight scre...

IZH-Sight Inserts - Source

Hey all Finally got around to carving my IZH-46M grips, now working on sighting it in. When I bought it used, it didn't come with all of the sight inserts - wondering if there is a place to source them from? I've done some searching but I've come up empty. What I'm looking for specifically is the fr...

Re: Daisy 777 questions

Thanks - that's another link that I referenced as I was taking it apart and putting it back together. However, he bought a new barrel - which probably has the seat for the new plunger. I am going to contact Daisy to see if I can order one. I"m also going to need to see if I can order he cylinde...

Re: Daisy 777 questions

That’s one of the resources I used along with a couple of I YouTube’s and a few other sites. I’m about 99% I reassembled it correctly. I’m wondering if I need to look in to a new barrel/seat assembly to use the updated valve.

Daisy 777 questions

Hello all I have a (new to me) Daisy 777 that I picked up off of eBay and I'm having a few issues with it after a rebuild. I've looked around and I've found similar issues, but not exactly what I'm seeing, so hoping someone can help. I was able to easily get the gun apart. I replaced the two main se...

Intro and new guy air rifle questions

Hello all New member from the Seattle area. I've been doing a lot of reading and researching, and I have a few questions: 1) I've seen a few folks here from the Seattle area - can anyone recommend a good local club for 10m events? I've found some, but I'd like to hear some first hand experience and ...
