Re: KINETIC- Revolutionary Shooting Training System!
The instrument can be used stand-alone OR at the same time as your existing Electronic Trainer. A low cost laptop could easily run both at the same time. A later development could be an interface to electronic trainers. Of course, a researcher could take raw data from this instrument as well as an e...

Re: CMP Bulk Pack Eley: Opinions
£54/1000 for Eley Standard is a very good price for pistol training ammunition!
Eley has used region specific productising for years. The Swiss variant of the Eley Standard was exceptional when our 25m squad operated out of Zurich.

Re: KINETIC- Revolutionary Shooting Training System!
John. Detailed testing will continue to be with the national and home country athletes to provide a cross-section of athletes and input from ISSF Pistol coaches. Any training device is only as good as the staffs working with athletes to provide contextual interpretations. Accordingly, a good knowled...

Re: KINETIC- Revolutionary Shooting Training System!
If it were to influence the shot routine John, the entire project would be pointless, and we would not have even bothered with a prototype stage! Sam Gowin was one of the testers (he came 4th at the CSF last week in Brisbane AUS). I have some good video clips of Sam life firing with this prototype s...

Re: KINETIC- Revolutionary Shooting Training System!
During this summer, a prototype instrument was developed for ISSF Pistol shooters. It tracks the movement and also the rate of acceleration (and deceleration) for the shoulder, upper arm, wrist and hand of the athlete during their entire shot routine. Whilst designed for all ISSF pistol disciples, t...

Re: Morini CM84E accidentally discharging
<snip> One possible reason is dirt, usually from un-burnt powder from ammunition accumulating in the trigger mechanism that prevent the full return of the trigger into the “rest” position. Newer triggers have been seen to be supplied with a thin membrane taped over the top of the trigger unit to pr...

Re: Morini CM84E accidentally discharging
I concur with all David M has posted. In addition, you should not have to rely upon the “safety circuit” the pistol should not fire when closing the breach or during the aiming process except when the trigger is operated. Users of the Morini 84e 2-stage trigger will recall their pistols do not have ...

Re: A sense of urgency during match.
Your pre-match preparation may help. Most well run competitions have a preparation area where you can dry-fire and settle down into your shot routine. This is before you get to the firing point (Athletes to the line) and then, for 10m and 50m pistol, your 15 minutes sighting and preparation time. Ha...

Re: Adjusting pistol during competition?
Remember that on some pistols, if you adjust the rear sight gap, you are also adjusting the windage as only one side of the rear sight blade moves! TIP – know how much movement each click gives for each of your guns. The distance one click makes to elevations is usually different to one click of win...

Re: Using 10m target for the 25m
An easy cheat for this...... Download and install the latest SCATT software on your PC. [totally Free] from the menu, select TOOLS, then PRINT TARGET Select your discipline target diagram and the distance you intend to shoot it. You can optionally print the scoring rings and the outline of the offic...

Re: Scatt On Windows 10
Hello, Recently, I upgraded my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and have run SCATT USB without any problems so far. The operating system does not appear to have any effect upon the functionality of the system. On another note, One strange problem I have(and this just may be my model), is that ...

Scatt On Windows 10
Whilst I know that the SCATT web site “says” SCATT runs on Windows 10, is anybody actually using a SCATT USB system with Windows 10?
I’m asking for a friend – no really!
Thanks
Paul

Re: Beginner reloading .32 rounds
I had good accuracy/feeding results in Hammerli 280 .32, SP20 .32 and Pardini .32 using: - Lapua brass (batched so all cases had been reused exactly the same number of times. They were absolutely fine up to 5-7 reuses and training several times after). Cleaning was optimal for feeding before popping...

Re: FWB AW93 Ammo choices
Our squad had four and all were a little tight when new but soon bed-in after 100-200 rounds. Make sure you clean out the chamber regularly as the miss-feeds are usually caused by the energy from the previous round for the cycling being expended on the case sticking through dirt during extraction of...

Re: SCATT MX02 on Free Pistols
Apparently the D6-19 clamp is not available until 2016 at the earliest!!
I will need to find a "Plan B" in the interim.

Re: SCATT MX02 on Free Pistols
On scatt web page there is a D6-19 clamp which should be suitable for free pistol: http://www.scatt.com/mount/71/d6-19-clamp/ I have no idea about it's availability. I don't remember seeing it before so it could be a new product. Thanks, I have one on order. However, I am also looking for any light...

SCATT MX02 on Free Pistols
Has anybody used a SCATT MX02 on a 50m pistol? What did they find the best method of securing the optical sensor to the barrel? I used electrical tape wound around the barrel near the breach to provide a diameter sufficient for the metal securing band provided with the SCATT unit to tighten, however...

A future Youth Commonwealth Games is in the Isle of Man, a “home country” with a highly successful past in shooting so very surprised to see it is absent. I have queried this with a number of people, including a respected member of the Islands ISSF community and was advised some time ago that the fi...

That’s about it for the list of publications, short list to say the least! I suggest that the ISSF journals be given a serious look and many are available online. For completeness, I would add - Leatherdale, Frank and Paul, Successful Pistol Shooting, The Crowood Press Ltd, Marlborough, England, 1995.
