Mark, again, solid advise. I don’t plan on doing this on a regular basis. Fundamentally, the old unit was malfunctioning and needs swapping out, I will take the opportunity to clean the contacts. BTW your strip-down procedure for the CM84e as been very popular in the UK. Again, many thanks. Paul.

Many thanks Tobias, this is great info! Very occasional problem was doubles, main problem was failing to activate; e.g. bang, bang, nothing, bang, bang and a disturbing dry-fire “6th shot”  I will be at Hannover as a coach for the ISCH, then possibly with our centre fire squad at the weekend for th...

No the CBC/Magtech issue was about 10-12 years ago and double charged .22 rimfire was eventually found to be the cause. At about the same time, in the .32, several batches with insufficient powder in 6-10 rounds in a box of 50, the problem was, they did not mark these cases :-) Not used CBC/Magtech ...

Interesting how a sensible post about the new ISSF rules has migrated to gun control, political freedoms and relative merits of a free –v- centralised economy. Free speach in action..... This post is a timely reminder to check our kit and check our 2008 team kit. Our friend from Scandinavia took thi...

I would be interested to know procedure and retail costs for obtaining custom inserts for Corami shoes in Switzerland. We have a lot of shooters with Corami shoes in the UK, myself included and we all like them very much. The inserts are definitely configurable and trial and error is one method. We ...

Pardini Electronic Trigger Swap-Out

Has anybody prepared any notes for swapping over a Pardini electronic trigger?

After the nightmare in Hannover last year, I have been given a replacement but would appreciate some idiot proof instructions on replacing this unit. I don’t have much access to the pistol as it is stored in central Europe

Magtech was a later “brand” of CBC – Brazil. Re Hammerli, the only .22 frames I have known to crack are when fed with CBC and these were 280 frames not SP20 frames as the SP20 post dated the issues with CBC. The .32 Hammerli frames crack on factor ammunition and I have detailed in previous posts. As...

Champion do a nice "gold" (not yellow) that takes the glare off the artificial lights. A 5% off-yellow wash can also be applied directly to the lens by most optical shops.

First a harsh fact: Both Honda and Toyota assemble in the UK, the US and elsewhere, they do this not because of the local skilled labour, nor the low cost labour but to circumvent barriers to trade erected by the EU, the US and many other countries, they also do this for simple economics of relative...

Re: Video

Brian, it looks like a "viral video" prepared in poor taste and can not be taken literally that a target shooter is executing a prisoner. I think the are two issues, one is using our sport as a blunt instrument of communication, the other is the means of presenting images to the public. On...

Scatt on MacBook Pro using XP or Vista boot

I have Scatt running fine on both Vista and XP on standard Intel kit with direct Microsoft Operating Systems installed (Vista needing latest USB drivers and Scatt), however, the...

MSC - is this the Browning Buckmark sold in the UK? If so, it sounds like you <<can>> fit a custom grip to this, I was not sure as I have a Browning Buckmark rifle I will get converted to the UK spec. The grip modifications are easy using Morini/Hammerli paste and a Dremel.

Yes, I spotted the "Stucco per legno" is very similar (but not identical to) "Isopon P38" car body filler. Purchased in Switzerland or C.Europe, the large tins plus extra hardner is not much and a large time will do several grips. Adding the "wood chip" to the mix, nice...

Don't know about product numbers, just call them and tell them what pistol you have e.g. Morini free pistol (they understand this longarm etc. would just confuse) and state the air pistol that you have as the precision cut-outs default has a free pistol and an air pistol as well. They know about the...

Several options a. Stanley Tools do a case sold in Homebase – probably others. Will need padding. Light weight and low cost, useless for flight use. The are two lengths, make sure you get the slightly longer one. b. Several random material based cases. These don’t comply with transportation requirem...

I was hoping that you were - however, have you received any information from the ESC (or anybody for that matter) re details of this event as our guys don't get any funding for non-Olympic events and the airline tickets (via central Europe to collect the pistols!) need to be purchased.
