Re: E-Sport - An Olympic Sport??
This is a superb potential money saver for the IOC. The eAthletes could compete via the internet w/o ever having to to get off of their couches. Imagine ... a virtual opening ceremony with their avitars wildly waving their national flas and taking ephotos of one another! SO exciting!!! It's all abo...

E-Sport - An Olympic Sport??
We gave up 2 events and IOC is reducing our quota places to give way for "Sports" like this:

Have you seen or tried this http://www.elitescorer.com/Home.aspx Price looks good at $1340 (fixed typo) The thing is you can't even get them to reply you. If you can establish contact with them you struck gold. Tried sending them emails and they never reply. My suggestion is to use SUIS cause in th...

Re: No Mixed Event at Munich?
Then make Free Pistol and Prone Rifle mixed team events instead of duplicating Air gun. This is the best solution to fulfill IOC requirements but obviously that's not what IOC wants. This is just an excuse to remove all live events bit by bit. Look at what they've done over the history and then now...

Re: Which Air Rifle would you prefer?
They are equally great rifle, and shoots better than 99% of the shooters. I shoot with an 800X, loved it, it is the heaviest among all 3, but it is manageable by put some weight in the back. I've handled a 9015 ONE, from a club fellow, the balance is naturally the best among all, means you probably...

Looking at the Munich WC schedule: http://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/schedule.ashx?cshipid=1903, there're no mixed event. When will we start to see one? Hopefully never. Nice shooting :) I'm also using CentreX. Whatever came off the shelf (not batch tested). Switched from Eley Match when I got the occasional gas blast back in my face on firing. Below is from my last 50m competition card (there are 5 shots in there). My scores have gone up, especially at 50m. Not sh...

Re: Alternatives apart from eliminating FP and Prone
Remember, the IOC (and it seems, ISSF) doesn't want equal opportunity to participate , it want's equal outcome in participation , so an emphasis on opening up events to both men and women as a compromise is likely to be useless...except for a few events (maybe air rifle) where women have demonstrab...

Re: Alternatives apart from eliminating FP and Prone
no air pistol for men?... get out of here also, mixed events are super gay to watch. It's nice to have them, but why have them in Olympics? I wish ISSF would create more events, different scoring systems, teams, mixed teams, men+women events, to see how it goes. Just allow women to compete in free,...

I've browsed the petitions and came across 2 suggestions: For Pistol, "My suggestion to save pistol shooting this time and get as many as possible satisfy is the following: Men disciplins. Free Pistol and Rapide Fire Pistol. Ladies disciplins. Sport Pistol and Air Pistol. Mixed; Air Pistol 40 o...

Re: Advantages of clear sights
I have pretty recently put them on my air rifle as where I have been shooting doesn't have the best lighting. I have found them to be pretty good for that. They aren't as "clear" as you would think and still show up nicely. (See terrible photo for bad illustration). I'm not too sure how t...
