Re: Pardini SP bolt wear and failure to feed

The underside of the bolt looks like it's picking up debris, that could cause some drag. I'd certainly try cleaning it with a solvent and soft rag, and applying a tiny dab of TW25B synthetic grease. Does the hammer show similar deposits? Clean it too. But I'd suggest NOT attempting to "smooth&q...

Oh no! The town where FWB is located will never be the same. It has been making munitions for centuries

Do you have a link for this?

Re: Bullseye Match - free app for Android, iOS and Windows

Thanks for the further info - looking into this some more, I think the picture is actually being taken and saved successfully, but the step of publishing it in the phone's album is failing. It may have to do with some Samsung-specific feature, or of course it could be my app too ;) If the picture is...

Re: Looking to get back into competitive pistol

My suggestion would be to look for a club league, nearby to you, where they are of roughly your age and shoot a related discipline. You probably want to avoid a "run and gun" younger bunch, judging from your comments :) Air pistol might be easier, or harder, to find. Maybe a .22-only event...

Re: mount and red dot for AW93

I installed it without any problems, required removing some pins that held the rear sight down and reinstalling the pins with the mount in place. Doug Hall's mount does not use pins, except for the long one that the stock rear sight uses as its pivot. So yours must be the Brenzovich. At the rear, D...

Re: mount and red dot for AW93

Yeah, the hole does not align with the bore and is not useful for cleaning.

I vaguely recall figuring out why it's there, but now I can't remember. It works great for Doug's eccentric cam design though!

Re: mount and red dot for AW93

The Brenzovich mount was not available for a while, and their web site doesn't list it any longer. You probably need to call. I believe they prefer to install, because it isn't easy, and the grip does need to be modified as well. Depending on the year of your AW93, it may require some filing on the ...

Re: Oiling Top Round in Semi-Auto Magazines?

That is so weird. Never seen brass in that orientation on mine. And, without a scope riding above the breech to bounce it back down! Mine throws brass at my forehead too, and never alibis these days. Personally I think the stiffer spring is a mistake, but I'm totally interested in the results. One o...

Re: Oiling Top Round in Semi-Auto Magazines?

So by "4 pounder", you mean the bolt closes with 4 pounds of force, or the spring k factor is 4 lb/in?

I have one brand new recoil spring, I'll be able to check it if that will help.

Re: Oiling Top Round in Semi-Auto Magazines?

Larry's instructions suggest to replace the spring if the buffer looks "beat up". Yours sounds like a good plan.

2. Why is it that the most successful right-handed rapid-fire shooters (at least the ones I've had a chance to watch) shoot from right to left? I've always guessed it had to do with the relative strength of the pectoralis major muscles. Further ideas? From my physical therapist, I learned that move...

Benelli .22 cal MP90S/MP95E troubleshooting guides - from Larry's Guns

Years ago I received a valuable set of information from LGI about common issues and solutions for Benelli MP90S and MP95E operation in .22 cal. It includes a fairly detailed parts list and diagram, although that appears to be an earlier version which does not include the latest MP90S parts such as t...

Re: Oiling Top Round in Semi-Auto Magazines?

I'd be very curious to see a copy of Larry's "Benelli Guide". Can you scan it? This is the first I've heard of its existence, despite having bought lots of Benelli parts from him & visited his shop countless times. I've got better than that! I have electronic copies that DeAnna sent m...

Re: Oiling Top Round in Semi-Auto Magazines?

Larry's old Benelli guide had a photo attached showing how to install his buffer, I'll try to find it tomorrow.

What I recall is that it showed exactly what yours shows, but pressing the tab on the opposite side - i.e. at the "top"

Re: Bullseye Match - free app for Android, iOS and Windows

Great, thanks! I'd be interested to know more about the glitch. I released a fix a few days ago that addresses an issue in that, btw. If you have build 100 or 101, look for the 102 update in the stores. Working on some other fixes now as well. You don't have to go through the script in any particula...

Definitely all steel. The silver-colored parts (frame, barrel) are nickel-plated.

The Light model has an aluminum recoil weight, but the rest of the pistol is the same in both models.

Re: Oiling Top Round in Semi-Auto Magazines?

I swapped my daughter's relatively new takedown block & buffer for mine Is this the factory-style buffer, the gummy rubber one? Larry Carter did not have anything nice to say about those, and strongly recommended I install his solid one. I've had zero trouble with it. I think the factory one is...
