Re: You guys are slippin'!
I’ve personally found that the pellets with the flat end at the front shoot best for me. Some manufacturers put the flat end at the back and the skirt at the front; those don’t shoot so well.

Re: Break Dancing
Not sure about breakdancing, but surfing, skateboarding, and climbing do make sense as reasonable sports to add. Surfing and skating are more in line with things like gymnastics or diving (or half pipe in the winter games) as sports that need judges rather than just a timer or scoresheet, but that’s...

Cylinder/inlet valve O-ring replacement interval
A maintenance question: The o-ring that seals the cylinder onto the inlet valve (circled red below) failed on my K2S. I'm not exceptionally bothered by this; it's a wear part since I have to constantly screw the cylinder on and off for refills and I do have a couple spares, but I'm curious how often...

Re: Bulleseye Corvallis Area/PCP Fill Stations
I used to live there! I second the Willamette Valley Pistol League. Good group, has everyone from serious competitors to people just doing it for kicks. I shot in the league for six years, both with Oregon State University’s team and with Albany Rifle and Pistol Club after I graduated. If you’re in ...

Re: Is it just me or is this forum slowly dying ?
It may be that the forum is dying. If so, I think it must be that our sport(s) is. Spray and pray seems more attractive than the ability to actually hit your target. This pretty much sums it up. Last year I quit a club where I had been a member for 20 yrs. We used to run all the int'l matches: Free...

Re: How do you keep it fun ?
I remember that as a kid I got really into archery. I got pretty good at it, won a few state championships, but I stopped after a few years (to my parents’ eternal disappointment) because I put in so much work being the best that I forgot to enjoy it. Learned my lesson and I’m trying to avoid doing ...

Re: New tank and valve installation
I second Spektr on this - have a dive shop do it. Done right, a 200 bar tank is nothing to be afraid of. Done wrong, that’s a lot of energy waiting to go bang. It’s a few extra bucks but they have the tools and more importantly the experience to make sure it’s done safely and up to industry standard...

Re: USA shooting PTO matches no longer at OTC?
Thanks - that’s good news. I assumed they were year-round but that’s still a good number of matches to go to.

USA shooting PTO matches no longer at OTC?
I was stoked when I moved to CO that I would be within a reasonable drive to Colorado Springs and could go to some air pistol matches that had more than four competitors, but now it seems that all of the nearest PTO matches are at University of Utah, which is a good 500 miles away. Are there no long...

Re: Esports compares itselfs to 10M Air Rifle
I think it's a fair comparison, when you compare rifle to more traditionally athletic sports. While it definitely does take effort to shoot a rifle well, it doesn't require nearly the kind of strength and endurance you need to be competitive in something like soccer, cross country, boxing, etc. Gami...

Drifting rightward in standing
When I'm shooting in standing position, I usually find my aim drifting significantly rightward after a period of a couple seconds of stability (I shoot right-handed). I've tried considering it a NPOA problem and adjusting my entire stance, but no matter how far right I start the stance, I always see...

Re: Choosing EVO10 colour - aside personal preference...?
My Pardini K2 is black and has both blue and red cylinders. I like the black/red combo a lot, but I don’t think Steyr makes red anodized cylinders. For what they do have, I think the black pistol/gold cylinder combo is the best looking.

Re: UPS STORES - Disappointing - NOT SHOOTING FRIENDLY
UPS stores are independent businesses and can do their own thing. Looks for UPS Customer Service Centers. They’re regional distribution depots and are owned directly by UPS. I’ve shipped rifles and ammo from them no problem.
