Re: Are these butt plates ISSF compatible?

If they are compatible you'll probably find a welcome market - most buttplates on the market are insanely expensive, so polymer, 3-D printed (presumably) would be a great option to have out there, particulary for the youth or club market that doesn't typically like to spend as much. As long as the b...

Re: Target printing program?

I've made my own pretty successfully using Draftsight, a regular laser printer, and some midweight beige cardstock. Draftsight is a free AutoCAD clone that, while a little clunky to use, is pretty powerful once you get to know it. You could make literally any target you wanted, but you'd have to do ...

Re: Walther LP500!?

The robot doing QC testing near the end was pretty cool.

Is it normal to be able to do a direct, field swap between mechanical and electronic triggers? If not, that’s a very clever feature.

Re: Simple spooting scope system

I like the idea of this setup. I've been jealous of having monitors since I shot at the USAMU range a few years back, and this seems like a method of achieving that idea without the insane investment it takes for a proper monitor system. I've got an old iPad that may get repurposed for this idea.

Re: Federal .22 automatch

During the Great Ammo Drought a couple years back I was able to get my hands on some. It generally works well in my MKIII, but a few caveats: 1) recoil is stiff and it’s noisy - can be distracting during a match 2) expect it to gum up your action faster than CCI 3) accuracy is marginal, but how impo...

Re: Shops in USA

For what was mentioned with Krale in NL as a source: what kind of tariff did you need to pay for importing the air pistol? For air guns, if you are buying online and not in person, why do you care if the shop is in the USA? I've bought a Steyr Evo 10 from https://www.krale-schietsport.nl; ordered Sa...

Cannot extract live rounds

My KK300 seems to have a very tight chamber, to the point that I can barely get it to close on CCI (which I do not use as a result). Even with ammo that does chamber well, like Aguila and SK, the rifling engages as the bolt closes and I can’t usually extract a live round - the rifling holds stronger...

Value of upgrading to an aluminum stock

I’ve been shooting a KK300 Universal for a couple of years and I’m continuing to see improvement. However, I’ve had to play with adding stock weights to balance the front-heavy nature of it and the adjustability is minimal, albeit still better than the 1903 I first learned on. I’ve looked at getting...

Steyr LP5 value

I’m looking to get back into air pistol and I’ve been casually looking for some equipment. I found an ad for a Steyr LP5 locally, with 2 magazines and 2 cylinders (presumably the originals, so probably technically expired). It’s had a slot milled in the barrel shroud for a ring to mount a dot sight....
